This is problem deffinately due to a sound driver application problem. So you have to locate correct driver from dell recovery media or from their website,then reinstall the driver. It will deffinately solve your problem

The printer you want use, just given a print to that printer will tuned into online, if it not happed then use these two methods:-
1. set as default printer from control panel 2. re-install the printer after un-installation

Two beeps usually means the memory module went bad.
Replace it and you should be ok

The Turion is more of a mobile processor meant for laptops since it uses less power while the athlon is for desktops and uses a bit more power. The Turion might edge out the Athlon on performance but will beat the pants off it in power consumption. The sempron is a low-cost processor meant for entry level desktops. So, to answer your question it goes Turion, Athlon, Sempron.

I belive you should purchase a CCFL backlight and the backlight inverter... the backlights die-off after a while and require more power to cause them to light and all... the issue is with the inverters because over time they cannot keep cool with the higher & higher power demands of the dieing backlight.
Replacing the backlight itself is a bare minimum requirement... but that will only solve the issue if the inverter hasn't burned up itself.

you will need to uninstall Roxio from your Dell, this should solve your problem.

Since this is such an old machine I would imagine there are a lot of unnecessary programs running in the background and starting with windows. I would say the quickest solution would be to back up any data you want to keep and then reformat and reinstall. If you do not wish to do that there are some other steps you can take. First go into the control panel and then add/remove programs. Go through the list and uninstall everything you don't need/want. Secondly, click start then click run and type in "msconfig" without the quotation marks. Click on the start up tab and uncheck everything you don't need to have starting with windows. I would also run your spyware/adware scanners and run your anti-virus. Lastly, I would defrag your hard drive.

once you format and get to the screen where you're prompted to install xp, just make sure that you type a number that's half the size of your drive. format the first, do the installation and don't worry about the second one until needed.

when installing the second O/S, just pick the remaining space that's probably not partitioned, partition it, format and install.

I would try another power supply and plug that in.

Try replacing the BIOS battery for access to the computer.
