How to replace lid switch on frigidaire top load washer

I believe same as Kenmore you have to remove the top panel, first remove the 2 plastic pc.s from the side panel, then u will see on each side a screw that needs to be removed, then lift panel up and out of way, u will see 2 gold clips near the center that need to be preyed or popped out, then the whole cabinet will come forward and out. look under it and u should see the door switch and a couple screws holding it to lid panel remove them as well, then unscrew the ground screw to the harness usually a green wire connected to the frame.

Hello Ruth Walker - From what you are describing it sounds like the tub seal is leaking. Typically, if so, the tub bearing is more than likely also bad or faulty. Repairing the seal and/or bearing may be a costly repair. I would strongly recommend contacting a local professional to narrow down the precise issue before investing in parts that may or may not be the root cause. You can often locate a qualified tech through the manufacturer website.

When the facets are properly

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
(this pre-typed covers both hot and cold!)

If you have checked that the hot and cold water taps are turned on fully and the hoses are not kinked or squashed at the back, it is worth while checking both the hot and cold water inlet filters. Turn the taps off and remove both hoses at the washer end. Inside each inlet port there is normally a little filter which should just slide out. Clean if necessary and replace each one and the hoses. If after turning the taps back on there is no improvement, the problem is symptomatic of a malfunctioning hot or cold water control valve. Sorry but it needs a service call and a check that it isn't the control PCB ;-0(

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck,
John C

WASHER WILLNOT SPINOUT

Usually when this occurs the lid switch has failed, even though it may seem ok
The lid switch is a safety device for the spin cycle. When it breaks the washer will
still agitate and not spin out. Hope this helps.

Problem= loud knocking sound durring spin cycle. I

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France

I mostly answer front load problems but ' out of balance' is a common problem with both!
So- I don't know your particular machine but the initial cure is the same.
It is necessary to ensure absolutely that the machine, even when empty, has all 4 feet very firmly on the floor, and I mean firmly ;-0)

Doesn't matter whether it is empty or not but switch it off then-
very firmly push one front corner diagonally into the centre of the machine (sorry about my UK spelling!) and see if the machine moves or rocks AT ALL, even the slightest. If it does you will need the open-ended spanner which came with the (new) machine........which of course went missing a long time ago?!! An adjustable spanner will suffice.
Adjust the foot under that corner downwards until it is very firmly- almost pushing- against the floor but not so far that the corner lifts up!
If this corner did not rock do the same to the other.
Once you cannot rock the machine the slightest little bit, screw the locking nuts up tight to the underside of the machine so that they will not move. Ideally the rear feet should also be locked.

If this has not cured the problem it is possible that the internal drum suspension is malfunctioning but I've not had any feedback of this nature.

Good luck,

John C

Frigidaire front load washer - e10 and water hose shaking

E10 code indicates there is no water supply. This can be confirmed by :
  1. Shut off the faucet to stop water supply to the washer.
  2. Disconnect and pulling the supply hose off the washer to confirm the E10Code
    • Opening the faucet and watch for running water

E10 also means that your cold water is coming in too slow, disconnect the cold water hose and check to see if the screen on your washing machine is clogged. If the screen is clean and the hose has good pressure then you will need to replace the water valve on your machine--- this is the piece that the hoses directly connect to.

We have a Frigidaire top loading, 8 cycle, heavy

the part needed to be replaced is the main tub seal and it is not hard to do. remove the agitator the you will see a collars that has two bolts on the side of it this keeps the inner tub attached to the drive shaft you may also have one that is broken.
lift the washer lid. then remove the tub ring that is on top of the outer tub once this is removed you can remove the inner tub.there will be a brass ring with a black rubber piece in the center of it this need to come off in order to get the tub seal out. it maybe a little difficult toe remove but it just pulls up. you may have to use some liquid soap on the drive shaft to make things easier to slide up and off

My frigidaire washer makes alot of noise while on

Couple things you can check that should solve the problem.
First open the lid and look at the agitator, in the enter you should be able to remove the center piece that is on top, then remove the plastic piece that is there until you get to a nut.
Verify the nut is not loose, if it is then tighten it down.
Second ,Your model may have a balance ring that may have came loose or is broken.
Remove the top by unscrewing the 2 screws from the top electrical area of the washer, then remove the 2 clips with a flat head screwdriver.
Unplug the lid switch, then remove the entire cover off of the washer by pulling it back towards you.
Pop the plastic piece off the top of the drum and under that you should find the balance ring (If yours has one) if it does then make sure its not loose or broken.

Good Luck! I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/michael_341f3f9dee622e54

I have a Frigidaire Crown Front loader washer,

The problem is probably the pump being clogged with an object. Typically it is a coin.
Remove the front bottom cover to access the pump. Remove the two hoses. Make sure you have a pan to catch the water from the hoses. You will be able to remove the objects after the hoses are removed.

Washer not draining during spin cycle

There are two screws on the bottom of your washer that must be removed.  When you have done so, tilt the washer a few degrees back and place something small beneath it to prop it back.  Remove the front of the washer by sliding the front panel downward.  There are some clips at the top, so some prying may be required.  The drainage pump is mounted on the bottom, at the front left.

Washer will not drain water and is leakiing from

HI, this leak is caused by the back up or clog in the drainage system. use the following text to troubleshoot this issue.

Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine).

If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Note: if you have a belt driven washer, check the belt(s) for cracks, as this would be a perfect time to replace the belt(s) if needed.
