Hey i lost my lenovo n200 product key now the

Your product key is on the COA stuck somewhere on the computer.
This will almost definatly be an OEM key, locked to that make of computer.
If you have installed a retail version, this will be on the CD/DVD cover
If you have installed a COPY of windows, explore the disc, it will probably have the key/serial on a text file

Fingerprint Logon on Vsita gives "the computer name is invalid"

If you remember the admin password then you can login with a different credential (i.e. admin credential). Then you can open the finger print application and there is an option to see your old password.

Lubricate Spindle Motor - Optical Drive problem - Lenovo 3000N200

Not a good idea.Should use lubricant on an optical drive. Your drive probably need replacement. the average optical drive is :
Senior Associate Editor Melissa J. Perenson responds: Optical drive vendors tell me that the expected point of failure for a DVD±RW burner is about 50,000 to 75,000 hours of operation--whether the PC is active, or simply drawing power in standby mode. Although a drive failure can occur after just a few months of vigorous use, the best drives can last five years or even more. Heat is your drive's greatest enemy; you can avoid premature failure by ensuring your PC has good internal air circulation.

On start up a rescue and recovery 4 screen appears and freezes

i suggest pluggin into the machine a usb keyboard for now, see if you still have problems. if so let me know and we will go from there. i also suggest you see if your keyboard can at least get you into the bios. i believe you should be able to tap the f2 key to get into it. but your black startup screen should give you the correct key combination to load bios. from there go to load defaults and save and exit. then try your restart and see if things change. if not let me know

Good Luck!

How to remove pink line on my lenovo

Is it a pink line down the screen vertical or horizontal. Most likely it is a screen problem and you will need to replace the screen. Check the repair directory on FixYa.com for a reputable laptop service to take care of the problem if you are not comfortable replacing the screen yourself.

BIOS Beeps

Hey there Tom! Sorry for the slow response, but have had too many irons in the fire at the same time, as of late.
Sounds like you may have a case of , what I call "RIC" (Repair Induced Confusion).
Nothing to be ashamed of. We all experience it from time to time, whether novice or professional. I don't know if it is a fungus or bacteria, but I think that the manufactures' pour a little of it in many electronic devices. As soon as you open the cover to attempt a simple repair, you get the disease. Once you contract the disease, anything and everything you touch seems to turn to ****. From personal experience, I can say that it is reoccurring and once you get it, it will usually last the rest of the day, or until you get that item finally repaired ; which ever is longer.
It causes a person to not get things reseated correctly; or to plug things into the wrong place; or to unintentionally loosen a different connector; or to do things that make perfect sense at the time (but someone else would look at it and say "Boy,was that a dumb thing to do!")
Usually, the fix for this is to very slowly, methodically and carefully go through the entire device and reseat anything that is reseatable. Cables, connectors, hard drives, CD drives, memory, modules, batteries (excepting maybe, the CMOS battery) and so forth. While doing this, keep your eyes open and check for anything that shouldn't be there. I have had small pieces of wire, solder balls, used staples, extra screws and such creep from my work area into whatever I have been working on.
If this doesn't work the first time, take a break and try it again. Go get a cup of coffee, take a walk around the block, go out and mow the lawn. Then set down and try it again.
Hope this helps and best of luck!
Ron

Hi to u!

It shouldn't hurt to leave it on all the time. I leave mine on all of the time. Make sure that you have it on a hard surface like a desk. Don't leave it on something soft, like a carpet or couch. That should keep it cool enough.
If you do leave it on all of the time, I'd suggest shutting it down at least once a week. That will help to clear out a lot of software garbage that collects over time.
Also, check that your power supply is on a hard surface and check it from time to time to make sure that it is not hot. Some of the HP power supplies have a tendency to get too hot, if you leave it on all of the time.
