I have blown a fuse

Generally speaking, an amp attempts to protect itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'nekkid'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

Check for loose speaker connections at the speaker as another possible root cause for intermittent shutdown

Sony Muteki 7.2 USB Fail error, no USB plugged in

Sony Muteki with USB Fail message or turning on and off is generally related to a faulty mains input relay. Search for it in the schematic and replace with a stronger part. Sony uses a very weak relay to connect the mains after power button is pressed. It doesn't last too much.

Protect subwoofer showing on power amplifier

Check your owner's manual for a Factory Reset, or Return to Default. Try that first. If it still doesn't work, try disconnecting the sub completely, and see it that resolves the issue.

Will the Muteki sub amp

My subwoofer recently burnt out because I had it plugged into a different amplifier.. I wouldn't recommend it. Sony has released the sub to suit that system.. Do keep in mind that I did have bass boost on with the sub up full (Which didn't matter when I had it connected to the Sony amplifier..).

Proceed with caution.. I would recommend turning the sub down and using the sub volume control on the amplifiers settings to change the volume.. Just do not run it at a pace where it looks like it is stressing.. When I say stressing I mean, looking like it is going to jump out of the enclosure..

You can turn off the 7.2 channel surround sound system if you only want to listen to audio on the TV channels, you may need to increase the volume levels on the TV.Use the 7.2 channel surround sound when you want surround sound when playing DVD movies.
