Want fill up

Good Afternoon Friend, I see that you are having trouble with water staying in your Frigidaire washer, model# FWS1339A, during the fill cycle. I suggest checking to make sure your drain hose standpipe is the correct height. The standpipe must be between 33 and 96 inches. If it is less than 33 inches, then the water might be syphoning out of your appliance. If this is the case, then I suggest installing a syphon break kit. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your washer status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful. -Best Regards- WP

Washing maching will not drain

Good Morning Friend, I understand that you are having trouble with your Frigidaire washer, model# FWS1339A, draining water. Here are a couple of suggestions that you can try.
1)Check the drain hose for any kinks or clogs. Also, make sure that the drain hose is only 6-8 inches down in the drain pipe. If the drain hose gets backed up with water this error can occur. 2)Make sure that the actual drain pipe, where the drain hose goes into, is only a maximum height of 8 feet. If it is longer than 8 feet, you will need to cut some of the pipe off. 3)Make sure that your homes drain pipes are not clogged. If they are, you will need to unclog them. Call a plumber if necessary. After checking the above suggestions, reset your washer by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. When you restore power, start any cycle on your washer. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your washer status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful. -Best Regards- WP

My fws1339a frigidaire top load washer squeals at end of spin cycle. help

Hi teribrad, thank you for your post! From what you have described, it sounds like you either have a problem with the belt, front (and/or rear) bearing, or a loose connection with the motor or drum. I recommend contacting a professional to accurately diagnose the issue, the part(s) may have to be replaced depending if they are worn, damaged or loose. You can often locate a qualified tech through the manufacturer website.

The top load washer wont

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. If your washer doesn't drain or spin, you may read and learn what parts may cause this. First, you will want to check your water pump. You need to make sure it is working. Make sure you check the belt on the pump. Make sure it is not broken or loose. Also, make sure your pulley is not stuck in place. Sometimes, they will stick or barely turn at all. If this is the case, you will need to replace it. If the pump, pulley, and belt are working, make sure your motor is working. You should be able to hear it if it is. If it isn't, check your lid switch. The lid switch can cause the motor to not work. It may need adjusted. If not, go ahead and change it. A bad lid switch may cause the washer to not work at all. Now, if your pump is pumping and the washer still won't spin, you will want to check your belt and clutch. Once again, the belt may be broke or loose. Check to make sure your clutch is not worn also. This may be a case of a bad lid switch again as well. You could have a bad drive motor. This is what controls spinning, draining, and agitation. You could have a broken motor coupler. Over time, they will go bad and need replaced. It is possible that your transmission is slipping or damaged. And lastly, you could have a bad basket drive ir spin bearing. This is what allows the inner tub to move. If this is the case, you will probably hear loud sounds or loud banging. I want to thank you for reading and I hope this helps you. Best regards and thanks for reading

There is i clicking noise

When the machine spins the pump comes on at the same time, this is to pump out water and is located at the bottom.

It could be that a coin, button or other object is lodged in the pump. Sometimes these items jam the pump completely but often they will make a noise in the pump as it pumps out.

Does the noise happen when the spin cycle is first set? Usually there is a minute of pumping BEFORE the machine starts spinning. If it clicks at that stage then it must be the pump.
