Make sure that you are plugged into a usb 2.0 port. If you are plugged into the front try plugging into one of the ports in the back of your PC. You can see which ports are 2.0 in the Device manager.

Probably the easiest way to solve this is to add NTFS support to your Mac.

1. You pen drive might have damaged
2. Either your external drive or PC is affected by some virus which wants any external drive connected to be formatted
I request you to check the drive by connecting it to some other PC other than yours and tell me the result. I can guide you to get the data

You can't fix it, the memory chip inside it is near complete death. Try to open it to recover your files , if you still can, then just throw it away.

plug in the USB into your computer USB port, when it appears on your screen, close it or press cancel

go to MY COMPUTER and select the USB drive letter, just highlite , do not open

right click with mouse, and select FORMAT, follow instructions and you will delete all data on that USB drive

One bad/faulty lead can cause a computer with lots of problems replace all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA and the ones that attach from your motherboard to hard drive make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ? hope this helps

unless the pendrive needs software(usually it don't) it should install auto... unless you are running a OS older than winxp , if so you may need to upgrade your OS

may be the flash drive is locked...unlock the pendrive and then try again.
formatting can be done in other way.
goto run,type cmd,press enter,then type format f: in the cmd and press enter.this formats the drive

Some of the infections must have been in the file tables, you may have to format to get it working

windows7 needs specific drivers

open windows explorer locate the drive try right click scroll down to rename

Check the permissions of that specific drive. You should enable it to read/write from the drive to be able to save files onto the flash drive.

Does some other USB device work properly when connected to the USB port that you are trying to use with your Transcend Barcode Scanner?

Did you try to connect the Transcend Barcode Scanner to some other computer? If so, did the other computer recognize it?

If the Transcend Barcode Scanner is "brand-new", did the packaging for it come with a CD-ROM that you need to use -before- trying to connect the Transcend Barcode Scanner to your computer?

If not run/not working means hang. Than you go dos command prompt & select the drive & format.

well click on properties on the pen drive you can change it there

cotrol panel,administrive tools, computer management,device manager,universal serial bus controllers you should see a yellow? right click on reinstall drivers if your computer came with a disk drivers should be on it
