My SSD (ata ts256gssd720) is not recognized when I
When you say "not recognized", do you mean that the drive does not show up under "My Computer" with a drive letter? Or that the OS does not even know the drive is there? It is possible that the SSD was formatted using an Ubuntu-specific file system that Windows does not recogize. In this case, the drive may be seen as "Not Activated". To check this in WIN 7, click on START, then right-click on COMPUTER and select MANAGE. When the Computer Management window appears, under STORAGE, select DISK MANAGEMENT. Wait for the window to populate, then scroll down looking for the SSD in the list. It should list a disk number, size, and status of the drive. If it is not ONLINE, then there is a problem. You will probably have to initialize it, partition it, and format it to have WIN 7 see it. Be advised however, that this will remove all data previously stored on it.

Memory card not formatted
A lot of the time the actual Micro-Controller Unit (small computer chip) within the memory card tends to act up or just simply dies. When this happens, your device ends up giving you a format error message. No Worries, Your data should still be on there. If you need it recovered I would suggest that you contact a data recovery expert that specializes in retrieving data from damaged memory cards. Once company that I have personal experience with is:
