Write - protected message when I connect my
Almost all the time when this occurs the problem is that the "write protect" feature of the memory device has been pushed into the on position.
Check the device and make sure this small mechanical switch/tab has not been moved into the write protect position.
If that isn't the case than it may be a formatting problem with the unit.
Transcend has formatting utility to deal with that. Go to that website at this URL: http://www.transcendusa.com/Support/DLCenter/
enter your unit model number and download the "mFormat" utility. It may ask you for the serial number of your drive. Give it. Format the drive. Several times if the first time doesn't correct the issue. Others with similar problems report it may not work the first time but does by the second or third.

Pen drive write protected
I have had the same prob and able to remove the write protected message by just unlocking the hold button. If this doesn't work there is formating software for each USB on the web. One can google and download it for free inorder to formate the USB

you just uninstall that unkown device which you get in device manager and reconnect the pendrive if again it says unknown device then goto update driver and select 2nd option which is advanced in that select don't search for driver i'll select and select the driver which is shown in the list and click next and finish ur pendrive will works

Click your external hard drive's icon in the hardware window and click the "Stop" button.
You should see the "This device can now be safely removed from your computer" dialog message.
Press the "Power" button to turn off your external hard drive.
Some external hard drives turn off automatically when you safely eject them.
Right-click your external hard drive's icon on the desktop if you are using a Mac, and then click "Eject."
Alternatively, drag your external hard drive's icon from the desktop to the "Trash" bin.
You should no longer see your hard drive on the desktop.
