When you plug the drive in, your computer will set it up as another hard drive available for your use. You can open Windows Explorer and drag the drive icon to your desktop to recreate the icon. Or just use Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) to access the drive.

There are a number of online USB repair options (JetFlash Online Recovery at Transcend website is one) but I have also had some luck repairing balky USB sticks by simply deleting the current partition and creating a new volume using : Windows Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management. Whenever u insert ur pen drive to a pc it will ask for this"Disk is not formeted & do u want to format it" option.. Try reformating the drive. It could just be bad sectors in a crucial area, ssd's are pretty stable unless exposed to static electricity or water. Or someone who went willynilly deleting things and unplugging it while perfoprming a task.

I think you should try this out(In your windows operating system lyk.WIN 7) follow the steps:- 1. plug in your flash drive 2. ON DESKTOP OF YOUR COMPUTER OR LAPTOP 3. right click on my computer > then click on manage option 4. THEN A NEW WINDOW(computer management) WILL BE OPENED 5. then choose DISK MANAGEMENT in storage 6. then you'll see your hard disk partition and a separate partition of your 8GB flash drive 7. that (8gb partition will be unallocated) 8. right click on that partition(unallocated one) 9. then create a simple new volume..... by following these steps you'll be able to fix your problem HAVE A NICE DAY

There are several possibilities:
1. Damage to the partition table. If there is damage to the partition table, use the JetFlash OnlineRecovery software. This software can be used to repair a flash drive and keep existing data. Repair flash drive RAW format, used space 0 bytes, free space 0 bytes, can't format, repair partition table, repair firmware, update firmware, and keep exiting data.

2. Flash drive bad sectors. To check for bad sectors, use the HD Tune software. The way: insert a flash drive, open the HD Tune software, select the drive, error scans, and Start. Picture.


If you find bad sectors in the flash drive, the solution: backup data, use software HDD Low Level Format Tools. Open HDD Low Level Format tools - select drive - continue - click SMART - Get SMART Attribuutes - click Low Level Format - Format This Device - Yes - wait until the end - OK. After the finish, remove the flash drive from the computer. Then enter again. Then format the flash drive and finish. Picture

You need to find out if this is caused by a formatting failure or the memory chips inside it have started to fail.
For that install this program http://www.partition-tool.com/personal.htm , connect the card and start the program - in it will be displayed all the disks with all the partitions in them, the card will be the last. If the card is listed at 1.9GB then this is what it has now, the other chips holding the remaining space have failed = the card is dead, just junk it.
If the card is listed at full 32 GB (or very close) then the rest of the space will be either free or taken by another corrupted partition - wipe it out then expand the small 1.9 GB partition to fill the entire disk. If you don't know how to do that just use the help section of the program to do it correctly.

this sounds like a fake card, did you buy from ebay or china? its a cheap 2gb card with a different label on it.

If you choose the 'FAT32' (not the 'NTFS') formatting-option,
and the disk-formatting did not complete, then you have a problem with the 4GB Kingston. Spend $12 to buy a new 4GB device.

I believe this company is located in China. Their website states that their products aren't brand name. My advice, buyer beware.

i have a new CD ok ..but when i tried to copy some files i got a big shock > ( Windows cannot read from this disk. the disk might be corrupted) i dont know why ? even the CD cant open ..i think we should find a programe it can fix our problem
