Frigidaire GLTR1670A Front Load Washer - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Front load washer loud noise and drum loose but not dropped
Spider arms attached to stainless steel drum inside of tub have probably broken. This is a known problem with Frigidaire front loading washing machines. The stainless steel drum has a 25 year warranty but this does not include the spider arms. You cannot buy the spider arms separately, you have to buy the unit as one. The drum cost about $250.00 and probably about $300.00 in labor to install. You can do it yourself but it is pretty involved. Good Luck!

FRIGIDAIRE FRONT LOAD MODEL 417.39012891 PURCHASED 3-9-00
i tell customers to remove the drain hose from the stand pipe and vacuum the water out of the washer from the drain hose but because of the pillow this might not work in your case. Now remove the two screws on the front lower panel and pull the panel
in side you will see the drain pump if you did not have a shop vac go to the auto parts store and buy a pair of radiator hose clamps and clamp the hose line as close to the washer as possible.(but put down some towels as water always stays there) then pull the tub to pump hose by depressing the squeeze clamp(now while your at the auto parts id get a screw clamp to replace the spring clamp it makes putting the hose back on a lot easier)pull the hose off. Then pull the pump to drain hose off .Remove the two 5/16 in screws securing the pump to the washer base.Unplug the connector and remove the pump inspect the pump for foreign objects, broken or stripped impeller blades . if the impeller are stripped you will have to replace the pump then form the front of the washer take a piece of water hose with one end cut off and run it down the pump to drain end of the drain and reassemble the unit

Leaves spots on my clothes
Kathy, you may have the beginnings of a tub bearing failure. What usually happens is the water seal fails on the tub drum shaft. This lets water into the bearing cavity and usually some grease migrates out into the drum. What eventually happens is the wash water eventually washes the grease out of the bearings and they fail. You will notice your spin cycle getting louder and louder.
You can check for a loose tub bearing by lifting the drum gently at the top. Is there play where the drum can move vertically, independently of the outer assembly? That's my guess. You can do an internet search about tub bearing replacement if you want to get into that. Its doable, depending on your skill level. Good luck.
Been there and done that. Usually Frigidaire doesn't sell the bearings, but they are standard bearings and you can usually match up a seal.

Frigidaire frontload washer filling up constantly
do not set knob to open position and open door ....I did this and flooded new construction. What happened to me is that my contractor took out the screens to the inlet hoses and this allowed small chunks to get through and lodge in solenoide valve causing it to stick open and allow for constant water flow......simple disassemble, clean, and PUT SCREENS BACK IN! they are there for a reason...

Frigidaire LTF530FS0 front loader loud, screeching noise
Hi - Try to rotate the drum when it is not in use, manually and see if you notice the sound as well. If you do the drum is not balanced and you would need a professional technician to diagnose the bearing and pulley system behind the drum for repairs.

The washer clicks but does
The motor coupler is broken. It's the part on the end of the motor shaft whcih connects the motor to the transmission. The clilcking is the broken motor coupler pieces colliding with each other. More info, please let me know.

IT IS NOT SPINNING THE
You have two situation. One the water is not being pumped out and second the tub is not spinning fast enough to extract the water from the clothes. The latter could be due to a transmission problem and the belt is either loose or worn out. Good Luck
