Front load fabric softener dispensing
Try to clean it out. Pour very hot water over it. It's probably just gummed up. This happens. Is it a drawer type thing. Remove and soak if possible. I need more information before I can help you further. Model, Brand etc.
Hi, my frigidaire gallery front load washer is not
check the pipes are not blocked and the drain is high enough. the pipe has to be up to about 3 feet then down into the drain. . the pipes sometimes get clogged with hair or stuff. if you take the back off be very carefull as there are things in the back of a washing machine that hold charge and you can get electric shock easily. if you do take the top and back off. spray the pump with WD40 it might be stuck. but be careful do not touch anything in the back.
Frigidaire FWT445GE will not spin
Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

Tub bearing is making grining noise
yes when the washer sounds like an airplane taking off during the spin cycle, it is a worn rear bearing.
it does happen from the wrong type of soap being used. the suds from regular soap will destroy the seal and allow water to get into the rear bearings causing the bearing to fail and become noisy.
HE type soaps have been recommended by the manufacturer for about 6-7 years now and you MUST use them to prevent this from happening. it can also happen with HE is you just use too much.
now the good news... the inner tub has a lifetime warranty but the outertub, comes with seals and bearings, may only have a 5 year part only warranty.
what you can do is to call frigidaire at the 800# and ask if they can check the warranty for you. a 3 year old and a 5 year old unit might be covered by a part warranty. if so then the labor to replace the tubs will be about 200-300 bucks. i know its a pricey repair but is certainly cheaper then buying a new washer.
by the way, all front load washers will do this if you use the wrong soap.
SEtup.. on final spin it "walks"
100 percent absolutely needed. this unit has alot of power and energy when it goes into the final spin. it will get up to about 1,000 rpms and that needs to be contained by the shocks and suspension.
without removing the shipping bolts this unit wont be able to be used.
but the good thing is it will only move about 5 feet as then it will pull the plug out of the wall!! LOL
take out the bolts and plugs and then it should work well for you.
Frigidaire front load washer no spin
sounds as if theres something stuck in your drain pump, youll need to remove the lower acess panel(2 screws across the bottom front of unit) you'll see teh pump in the rigth hand corner. i would remove as much water as possible before trying to remove the hose to the pump or you will get soaking wetaferer removig the hose youll be able tro see what trapped in oyu pump preventing free draining.. VERY common problem.DISCONNECT POWER THE DRAIN PUMP IS ALWAYS LIVE!!!!!!!!

Damaging clothes
How long is the gentle cycle?. I prefer to make my own delicate cycle. I let the machine fill, agitate about 1 min. then turn off and let soak about 15 - 20 min. Make the machine pump out and start spin very briefly. stop machine. let fill up again and repeat to rinse. Don't let agitate for more than 3 or 4 min total wash and rinse don't let spin completely.
WASHER WON'T START
Hi again,
Appreciate getting back to me and the direct "Ask Me".
My last response in the Live Session was:
- let's try Plan A first. pls have the unit plug back into the mains,
wait for about 10~15 seconds to stabilize electronics, press and hold
"options" and "select" buttons continuously for 5~10 sec or until a
single beep is heard.
Pls try the above procedures and update soon as convenient.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
