There is a regulator behind the bottom drawer remove the drawer.look in the back you will see a silver box that the oven fuel rail is on just below the rail there is a brass fitting that needs to be turned clockwise till it stops it can be hard to turn some times but turn it till there is no clearance between the nut part of the valve and the silver box then you can start your oven and it should work fine you can also adjust it to get a little more flame if needed.

It is the touch pad or the main control that having issues and probably need replacement.

As an appliance repair ny company we see a lot of problems like that one and normally this is the solution

The F9 code indicates there is a problem with the door lock.

Try disconnecting the power to the range for 10 seconds and reconnecting. Open the oven door and hold the door switch plunger in while you try these things. Put the control into clean for 5 minutes then cancel clean. You must hold the door switch plunger in for the 5 minutes.

Try canceling the clean cycle without putting the control into clean.

1. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Check the wiring between EOC & Lock Motor Micro Switch.

2. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Replace the Motor Door Latch assembly if necessary.

3. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Check for binding of the Latch Cam, Lock Motor Rod & Lock Motor Cam.

4. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Check to see if Lock Motor Coil is open. If open, replace Lock Motor Assembly.

5. (F90, 91, 92, 93 & 94) Lock Motor continuously runs - if Micro Switch is open, replace Lock Motor Assembly.

6. (F92, 93 & 94) Check oven door Light Switch - if open, replace Switch.

7. If all situations above do not solve problem, replace EOC.

F90 is a door lock code, Try this...
unplug the range.
wait 1 minute.
turn the range back on,
then while holding in on the oven door.
start another self clean.
wait 2 minutes.
then cancel the self clean.

do not release the door until the door lock light goes out.

This is due to the clock board(control board) going bad, it can sometimes be reset by unplugging the unit for a few minutes and plugging back in.

Hi,

When it doesn't heat up,
We have a Frigidaire Range model PLEF398CCC and, as many others here have mentioned, we saw the puff of smoke and the oven nor the front left burner works. The repairman has to replace a EOC on the back of the control panel and another one in the back on the bottom. The total cost for parts alone is $438 then add in the service call cost. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME we've had an EOC go bad for big bucks. The unit is about 5 years old. We're thinking of filling the landfill with it.

Use this for troublshooting:

(home-electrical.suite101.com/article.cfm/troubleshooting_an_electric_range)

another testimony to help,

Had the same problem. This solved it for me:

(lazerangle.com/sanna/index.php?option=com_content&view=section&layout=blog&id=6&Itemid=63.).

Take care.

Hi, welcome to Fixya. If it is indeed a freestanding range... The model & serial identification label should be at the bottom left or right side of the frame when you pull out the ultitity drawer. Let me know what you find. Thanks for visiting "fixya" today. Please rate this solution positively if it indeed was helpful...but if not helpful let me know. Thanks and good luck. Macmarkus :)

This is usually the infinite switch has failed. They are easy to check and inexpensive. There is a video at www.appliancehelponline.com/servicemanual.html that will walk you thru testing this. It may be a different model but the testing will be the same. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations for your specific model. Not all models are available. All parts come with installation instructions.
