This problem has two possibilities the t-con board may be damage or your t-con board is not getting a dc voltage coming to the logic board it has two voltage requirement the 5 volts dc and the 12 volts dc. Try to check this voltage in your logic board going to the t-con board. T-CON board is the interface board that receive signal coming from the logic board and the lcd panel to produce image on the screen. White screen is produce when this T-CON board fails to work. Power issues

I have had this problem myself for a while now. If I turn it off and on rapidly, it sometimes works after a short to long while. It tends to be accompanied by a buzzing or popping sound, like electricity arcing.
In researching, I have seen that it's likely a loose ground connection, should be fairly easy to solve... I hope.

Currently looking to see if there's a way I can get into it and do it myself.

Turns off after being on

Had a fair bit of experience with these

Normally the Electrolytic capacitors in the SMPS dry out.
and when you power up the tv after a while the cap gives up dropping a supply rail causing supply to shutdown turning off tv.

2 ways of fixing this:

1. Take to Local Service Agent or electronics repair shop and explain that its the capacitors (they won't think your dumb and charge you heaps!)

2. If your feeling confident power down and disconnect from wall power..
leave for a hour or so to let the main capacitors discharge.

next take off the back cover and have a look for the SMPS PCB
it should be dead centre on the back of the screen and have large heatsinks onboard..(Aluminium fin looking things).

now scan the board for any faulty capacitors. and good capacitor looks like:

A Faulty Capacitor looks like but not limited to:
bennytechkid_1.jpg
You'll notice that the good capacitors are flat topped and clean
any bad capacitors will have bluged tops or there insides hanging out!
then all you need to do is de-solder and replace with new capacitors.
whole job should take about 4 hours for a beginner and about $10 worth of capacitors

hope this helps,ben

My remote won't work

This TV is know for capacitors going bad in the signal board. There will be about 15 or twenty capacitors in the signal board that are weak and going down. The power supply may have two that are weak. Find an electrician to use a capacitor checker and replace these capacitors. Have them be very, very careful as to not pull or tear the traces on the board when of removing the capacitors. Thanks for asking and show me a few hands of support!

This may hurt.....by now this TV will have two bad capacitors in the power supply and as many as 15 to twenty bad caps in the signal board. I have repaired this model and found it very time consuming to fix. On the signal board replace all the 10volt 100Mf caps , 16 volt 440 Mf caps for starters. You will need a capacitor checker to do this. The upmost caution to replacing these caps is not to tear the tracing on the PCBoard. Good luck! By now I would guess the wall outlet is working. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support!

TV WON'T TURN ON

Check outlet with a hair dryer or something and power cord to be snug to the back of the TV . If this fails it is a good chance you have a power distribution problem. This is only a $100.00 fix at a trusted TV repair shop.

Hi,

I guess there are 2 Screws underneath.Make sure to take a good look around for others, especially in the base connecting to TV. get a flat metal piece and run it between the halves - there are 'tabs' on the corners that need to be popped and it should come apart.

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

It can be as simple as the unsteady DC in the power supply or failing main logic board. Look at the power supply first since you may be able to spot bad DC filter caps (caps can look OK but may have high ESR which you will need special cap meter to find out).
