Power Cycles

Most likely A power supply problem, you can try unplugging the cord waiting 3 minutes and retrying, to see, if not the open the back and see if the caps are in good condition, even though it did this last year, could be more a problem now since last 1.5 years ago its was something else. If you don't know how to solder then time to call a repairman.

+philips tv 47pfl7432d/37 left side is dark flickers on right side ambielt lights are lit on back of set

Sounds like you either have a defective LCD panel, LCD panel tab connection, or a LCD to T-con faulty connection. Does tapping or squeezing the left side of the TV change anything?

Philips 47PFL7642D problems

Meaning your screen is going black. Some of your capacitors are dead or exploded. There isin't many capacitor now that can hold enough energy to keep your tv alive. They work in serious and the few left are supporting too much voltage. Go to radio shack with an electrician friend and buy them. Only 5$ each. Must soder new ones. Make sure the support voltage of the capacitors are even or a bit higher. They are measured in micro ferrits. It will cost you less than 30$to fix tv perhaps. If you take it to fix they'll. Charge you At least 300$. Or buy the whole board on ebay for 70$ to 150$.
Good luck!

The left side of my screen is darker than

I just bought a television on Craigslist with this exact problem for a very good price. There are two boards inside on the left and right sides of the screen called the Master and Slave boards. KUBNKM133LB is the exact number on the board in my hand. I have done some research as far as capacitor failure and Master/Slave failures. It appears as though all 4 capacitors (both boards together) have either gone bad or started to go bad. 3 of the 4 are leaking. This is not good. It means they have been overworked and overused and need to be replaced. When you replace them (if you know anything about soldering, it's a simple task), be very careful not to damage any of the board with the iron as you will completely ruin it and tracking down new Master/Slave boards is next to impossible.I simply called a local television repair shop and asked for 4 35V 680uF 105C capacitors. He said he has them in stock and I am off to pick them up early tomorrow. Simply replacing said capacitors should fix the problem (it would seem that underpowering is a serious problem and is essentially what is causing the screen not to be completely bright all the way across. I'll update tomorrow if this fixes the problem.

Hi,i just change the main

Sir when your tv does not operate when you open it and hear a clicking sound the most common part to be check is the power supply. When you remove the back cover of your tv be sure to unplug it then look for bulging capacitor, this bulging capacitor produces a low and unfiltered dc output voltage that causes your unit to malfunction.
ekcnoel_53.jpg
If you see this bad capacitor replace it but observe the polarity, and also observe the solder part of the pcb of your power supply look for some loosed, cold solder or dry joints.

If you see this cold solder or loosed solder, resolder this but be sure not to connect separated pin if accidentally solder may cause much damage to the unit, you should have a soldering iron, soldering lead, desoldering pump. try to do this first before replacing the power supply board, power supply board is much expensive. Hope this help good day and best regards.
