TOSHIBA REGZA 24" LCD/TV cannot
"JUST PRESS CINEMA MODE ON YOUR REMOTE CONTROL AND SELECT APPROPRATE VIEWING MODE" it might be located under the left of 0 with an image like stretching as indicated on my remote. It is the issue about the overscanning and underscanning of tv using HDMI connection. I have been the same problem as you but I did solved it using this. Hope this would help!
I cant get the quick setup menu to go off and i have no remote
Going to need the original remote--I doubt any universal will work for this---Google the model number of the set with "remote control" looking for an original and not a universal remote--usually on this brand reasonable and will have several features you really need.
How do you unmute a toshiba tv
Check your remote control for its infrared emission. If the remote does work for half mute, an other press must make the TV to full mute, and an other press the TV should be unmuted. Check the remote with new batteries.
Taking stand off toshiba regza tv
forget the four holes on the bottom of the stand. Remove the five allen bolts on the back bottom of the tv-not the stand. Yank on stand and metal plate slides out with stand.
My screen is dark on one side. What do I do?
Most of these sets use two boards--one for right and another of course for left---different names use different descriptions-----some use also back lights for each side but it is really rare for just one of those to fail.If you GOOGLE the model number search "boards" "known problems" to see what is available and at what cost.if you have comments or questions press the make a comment button on this page.

Hi!That's a clear indication that you have a bad power supply in your TV.If
you know how to DiY...I suggest you open your TV. Locate the power
supply section, it is where the end of the power plug is connected.
Replace all blown or bulge or leaked capacitors with same value. That
will fix your TV problem.The hardest part is to disassembling your TV cover, cause you will need to pry off the snap in lock at the edge of your TV.Power supply board should look like this. Examine the capacitors in the board
After replacing blown capacitors...it should work again.
Things you will need.1. A plastic flat end screw or any object with flat ends....to fry off the cover2. Soldering iron.3. Soldering lead4. Soldering pump.5. Flat and Philip Screw6. Replacement capacitors (of same value with the blown one) that you can buy to any electronics store.Hope it helps
