viruses dont affect a dvd player however it does seem that maybe there is an issue with the dvd player panel if its opened up and the picture of it remains even after restarting the dvd player with no disk then the LCD panel needs replacement if you meant a computer please install Zemana AntiMalware or Malwarebytes AntiMalware on your pc and do a full system scan also use ADWCleaner as well

I assume you mean the TV/DVD player. There is an Eject button on the front panel of the TV. This is the fourth button from the right. (The power button is the right-most button.) A common problem for these is bad capacitors in the power supply, Remove the back from your TV and look at the power supply on the left hand side.

You will see roughly around 9 x capacitors that are bulged / domed shaped on top usually these are valued at 3300uf 10V any that have bulged or leaked a brown like substance should be changed.
This will cure the problem as they overheat being sat next to a heatsink that gets very hot!
Try and change them for the same 3300uf but a higher voltage.

You need a digital to analog cable box or you will get reception, they are cheap and available on eBay.

You are going to need a digital converter box for antenna reception and that box is going to have to come with S-video or composite V and A rca style jacks. Look on amazon or ebay.
