Braun Tassimo TA1200 Espresso Machine - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

Several possibilities: (1) No water in tank.
(2) Tank not inserted properly. Try removing tank and then replacing it, making sure that the hook-tab at the back of the tassimo body engages the matching slot at the front of the tank.
(3) Tank not seated properly. Try pressing down on the tank and twisting left or right. If this stops the blinking and allows your drink to brew, at least you know where the problem is. If you have to do this all the time, consider exchanging the unit.
(4) The lights will all also blink if there is residue (coffee, milk, etc) on the bar code reader window. The residue is usually plainly visible. The bar code reader window is a horizontal rectangel directly under where the bar code of the T-Disc sits in the Tassimo. To fix this, just wipe the window clean (no need to scrub), close the lid again and check for blinking.

I ran into the same problem myself. One possibility is this: Follow this sequence: 1) With the top up and the disk NOT engaged, turn the main power on. 2) Put the disk in and lock the top down. At this time, the cup logo shouls flash once and stay on. 3) Push the large round button once and the cup logo will flash and the brewing should start.I had a few things out of sequence at first and it was frustrating me as well. Hello Thomas Lienhard, It only has two screws in the bottom... Tighten them... (only). If you take it APART the switch mechanism is fragile & complex. You will be sorry. Carnac the Magnificent

I am sure you have a reset button. If the coffee maker is still fairly new you can take it back to the store one one that sells this brand and might just replace it. What you have is a short.

Yes I can under stand this you have done descaleing but you have not done descaleing in the proper way very thing has its sequence let take dolce gusto by pressing for few seconds the power button it will blink in green this means that the machine is now indescaleing mode when you're done you simply press the power of in this case you have told the machine that you want to do descaleing and after this the internal computer is reset to normal this is why you machine is still blinking because it had not been reset

Had same problem . Check reservoir the float at bottom of jar was stuck at bottom so machine thought it was low on water even thought it was full . Its actually a piece of plastic with a magnet inside which operates a reed switch when it floats up.

If you got one big enough, a hose clamp might do the trick. Fit it into place and tighten with screw driver but not too tight don't want to break anything
