Bunn-O-Matic Coffee Brewer GRW8 - Page 6 Questions & Answers
My bunn comercial maker will not dispense water when the momentary switch / start switch is pressed. I replaced the switch and it still does not work
You should call your vendor for service on any commercial brewer. (Especially if it's on loan from them)
*** the following is for information only as all repairs should be performed by a qualified tech.***
The start switch activates the timer (analog or digital) board which turns on the water feed or brew valve depending on the model.
* It's not often the momentary brew switch goes bad even though it's pressed many times a day.
* Check the on/off switch
* Check the timer. Digital timers tend to be sensitive to electrical storms. Analog timers have a dial and are more tolerant of electrical surges.
* Check the brew solenoid if stuck or not operational.
* Check the water fill solenoid. Should be a definite click when activated. Water filling sound should be very clear.
* No water flow then check the water supply line if it's on.
* Final; this brewer needs service. High voltages present in larger brewers often with 240VAC to 440VAC.

I cannot get sprayhead to unscrew
If it's round about the size of a 50 cent piece then it unscrews counter clockwise. You can still clean it with a tooth brush of espresso brush. Wipe clean when done.

Leaking underneath. Is there a way to repair?
First you have to make clear what is causing the leak. A gasket? A burst in a pipe? Burst in the heater? When you know what, you can see (a tech can) if it is repairable and what it will cost.
Bunn coffee pot leaking bottom
The leak is most likely between the water reservoir and the tank. Bunn uses a soft silicone seal for that connection that gets compressed over time and starts to leak water whenever you make a pot of coffee.
It's planned obsolescence. Bunn won't sell you a new seal. So you have to improvise. But it's simple enough to do.
Remove the top cover and the plastic water reservoir right below it. Don't tamper with the little valve that opens when you close the lid.
Look for the seal. It could be stuck to the bottom of the reservoir, or sitting loosely on top of the metal tank. Make sure to preserve its top-to-bottom orientation (don't put it back in upside down).
Apply a narrow bead of clear silicone into the grooved side of the seal. Press the seal gently onto the reservoir, then apply a thin layer to the smooth side.
Re-install the reservoir and reassemble the unit.
