Seldom have I seen these go on that it was a "false alarm" - usually there is some kind of dampness inside. Try setting the camera in a MILDLY warm place, opening up any doors/port covers it has. As for a sample of a mildly warm spot, I have used my cable box to dry things out before. It runs around 100 degrees F, not hot enough to damage anything. Note, of course: Never put anything dripping wet on something like that. And make sure you don't cover more than a small percentage of any vent holes on the item supplying the gentle warmth. The main thing is be PATIENT. Don't expect the problem to be solved in 5 minutes. Put it there in a gently warm spot and check on it in the morning. Once thoroughly dried out, it should stay that way with reasonable care.

Many times if you open the back of the reciever there is an inline fuse in the area where the power cord enters the back of the reciever. I'm betting it's blown. Take it out, go to Radio Shack and get a replacement. That should fix it. Just make sure you unplug it before you work on it b
