PLES389DCB -- I have one of these too. The fan runs until the oven is almost ambient temperature. It seems to be normal operation for this unit.

Frigidaire model ES510L will not go above 288

NO PARTS REQUIRED!!! DON'T PAY FOR A SERVICE CALL!!!

After a power outage, my wife's grandmother said she could no longer set her over to 300, 400, 450, whatever..

I went over to troubleshoot.

I couldn't figure out why everything seemed functional and why I couldn't set the over to higher than 288 (and thought, that's a rather odd number)... until I realized that that 288 degrees C = 550 degrees F which is the max the oven can do.

The power outage reset the computed back to Celsius instead of Farenheit (had to change it back to Farenheit).

Saved them a ton of money... cause this could have been an easy cash grab to some crook out there.

Frigidaire PLES389 heating elements not working.

I recommend the control be replaced when an element is replaced. Very likely either your element is not set properly or the control is now faulty. The electrical "value" of the control changes with the element as it is used. Some will say this is not so and it technically is not so ... there is a fancy name for the condition. I believe if you replace the control, your trouble will be gone.

I am having new counter

Hi Larry. W/D here.
From the illustration given, you shouldn't have to remove the top from the oven, but take it out with the rest of the unit. Since it is a slide-in, all you should have to do is trip the breaker, slide the unit out enough to unwire it, and then pull it on out.
Best regards, --W/D--

Replace control panel

Trying to replace the glasstop on my Frigidaire PLES389DCC. I have followed the posted instructions. I have removed the 4 front screws as directed. I am still having difficulties removing the front control panel, are there some clips or snaps that free the panel? I do not want to break it since it still feels like something is holding it in place.

On my frigidair stove Mfg.

It is the keypad itself. You will have to replace the key pad. You can go to appliancejunk.com and it is very easy to find the keypad for your oven. When the keypad arrives, it will have instructions how to change it.

Frigidaire range F10 error and very hot

The F10 F11 F12 F13 F14 Error Codes indicate that the electronic oven control board senses a runaway temperature condition in the oven through the oven sensor circuit.
This can be caused by a faulty oven temperature sensor probe or a failed electronic control board.
Oven temperature is detected by the control board as it monitors the resistance through the oven temperature sensor circuit.
You could have a failed oven temperature sensor, a wiring harness failure, an open thermal switch or a failed electronic oven control board that would cause this problem.
The first component to check would normally be the oven temperature sensor probe.
If you have a volt/ohm meter, you can shut off the breaker for the range and remove the screws that mount this sensor to the back wall of the oven.
Carefully pull the wire harness into the oven cavity until you get to the wire harness disconnect plug.
You should have enough slack to pull it this far into the oven.
Disconnect the sensor but do not let the wire harness retract back through the back wall of the oven or it will be hard to reconnect.
Measure the resistance of the oven temperature sensor with your volt/ohm meter. At room temperature, the resistance should measure around 1100 ohms.
The resistance chart is shown in the image below.

If the resistance is above 2200 ohms at room temperature, then the sensor probe is causing the F10 error code and will need to be replaced.

You can order a new sensor probe from the Sears PartsDirect website. The part number for the sensor is 316217002.

If the resistance is normal, then one of the other causes mentioned above is producing your F10 code.
You would need to access the electronic oven control board (Timer) in the console and check the resistance at the sensor circuit connection to the control board as the next step in troubleshooting this problem.

We have the stainless gallery professional series

You like myself have purchased a miracle item....a stainless steel lump of ****. I;ve had mine 4 yrs and cant remember when something wasnt broken. The computer panel with the clock ($155) is normally the main problem and you should probably by two replacements as you will need the other one down the road. I have also had to replace by burner switches. I have a 1945 willys jeep that I spend less time repairing than this ****-o-la. Feel lucky that your burners and oven is actually working..matter of fact you might ought to alert the media so they can run a story on this one. Good luck!
