PLES389DCB -- I have one of these too. The fan runs until the oven is almost ambient temperature. It seems to be normal operation for this unit.

After a power outage, my wife's grandmother said she could no longer set her over to 300, 400, 450, whatever..

I went over to troubleshoot.

I couldn't figure out why everything seemed functional and why I couldn't set the over to higher than 288 (and thought, that's a rather odd number)... until I realized that that 288 degrees C = 550 degrees F which is the max the oven can do.

The power outage reset the computed back to Celsius instead of Farenheit (had to change it back to Farenheit).

Saved them a ton of money... cause this could have been an easy cash grab to some crook out there.

You will need to replace the control board. Here is the part to order.

Does the display work?

If you ohm the sensor probe, and it ohms good, check your schematics, you'll find a Thermal Circuit Breaker, actually two of them, in series with the probe. This is a resettable switch, and im not 100% sure what trips it, although im thinking its most likely a thermal overload switch, but i've noticed it can be tripped by accidentally applying to much pressure to the area the switch is located. The switch is located in the right area of the control panel, right behind the rear burner knob. You might look at this as it fixed our stove just fine without paying to replace the probe. You might check into what causes this however, as mine was tripped by pressue, not a fault.

This happens to all frigidaire you will need a clock control board

1. remove burn dail. until you see as below.
2. You the open the oven door, there are 4 screw at the top (look up at front of the oevn), remove it, then you get as 2nd picture

You will have to replace it with a new one, remove the old one and simply replace it with new one. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Oven stays locked during cleaning cycle. then it has a preset cooling cycle which is about 2 hours. This is a long period but normal

I recall from manuel that PF on screen means there was some type of power failure. If clock time is set it should go away.

I recommend the control be replaced when an element is replaced. Very likely either your element is not set properly or the control is now faulty. The electrical "value" of the control changes with the element as it is used. Some will say this is not so and it technically is not so ... there is a fancy name for the condition. I believe if you replace the control, your trouble will be gone.

There seems to be a short in either the main logic board or there is a short in the wiring of the unit itself look in the installation manual for the wiring of the plug
