How do i shut off hot service light and cool the burner
Good Afternoon Friend,
I understand you want to know how to turn the "Hot" service light, and cool the burner on your Frigidaire cooktop, model# GLEC30S8. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and start any burner. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.
-Best Regards-

Top has burned on materail
They make cleaner for burnt tops but depending on the burn and age dictates how close to new it will look again. Also try a razor but be carefull not scratch the top.
I have a frigidaire ceramic cooktop. It started
Either there's ashort in the stove top or the wiring going to the appliance. Sorry but I would have to see it to see exactly how to fix the problem. the top needs to be removed and inspect the wiring to it. Test the top with a voltmeter forshorts.
Whenever I cook cream soups in my stainless steel
I'm assuming this is an electric stove, since that's what the picure shows. Most electric stoves turn the heating element on and off to regulate the temperature. On high the element is on almost all the time, on low it's off most of the time. The problem is that when it's on, it's on at full power, and sometimes this is enough to scorch things like milk based creme soups.
You can do two things:
First, try using a double boiler. This will put water in the lower pan and help keep the heat lower than with a regular pan. You could also try to find a pan with a very thick bottom, and try that. It might work better.
Bad Electric Cooktop Dual Element Switch
Our Frigidaire Gallery electric cooktop dual burner would not work when either the single or double mode was selected. I did not have the electrical schematic available to use for troubleshooting the switch and initially was not certain if the switch or heating element was bad.
In thinking about the situation, I deduced that the problem was most likely the switch being bad as it was highly unlikely that both elements of the dual element burner would be bad at the same time. I ordered a new switch, received it a few days later, and replaced it in about 25 minutes. Upon turning power to the cooktop on and trying the new switch, both elements of the burner worked as expected.
Our Frigidaire Gallery induction cooktop is 'locked'. How to unlock?
Press and hold the keypad with the padlock icon until you hear a beep. This should be about 3 seconds. This will toggle the lock on and off. I used the documentation for the Frigidaire FGIC3067MB to check this. On this model, the lock keypad is to the left of the Keep Warm keypad. https://www.frigidaire.com/Kitchen-Appliances/Cooktops/Induction-Cooktops/FGIC3067MB/ . The manual is here: http://manuals.frigidaire.com/prodinfo_pdf/Lassomption/318205604en.pdf . The control panel is shown on page 5 and the lock function is shown on pages 6 and 9.
I hope this helps.
