I want bay this archos like a parts....

Hi there, please try the following to reset your archos player -

If the unit is frozen while on, press and hold the STOP/OFF button for at least 15 seconds. This should make the archos player reset and hopefully solve your problem.

first u will check ur charger or adapter
its function or not
and then u will check plu-in hole
its any dust particals

does it get really hot, if it overheats too much it probably will turn off as a safety feature

It is possible that the archos can't handle that big of a file. You can try to compress the file or see if the player can handle a smaller file type.

its because u need to reset it and if that dont work take it back and dont get the same one...

try upgrading the filmware version to the latest one off the archos site

The problem turned out to be the charger, problem now solved, thank you

It's not an easy fix, and doing so would void the warranty - it would be best to call archos and see if you are still under warranty to get a replacement. If you do not want to do this, I would go to a repair shop or the Geek Squad - they will charge an arm and a leg. Unlike other electronic products, there is no way to unscrew this unit or 95% of other Mp3/Mp4 players.

You can try doing the firmware upgrade, but it doesn't work for all mp3 players. Contact Archos for addl assistance.

Disable the automatic synchronization option in Windows Media Player. Go to www.microsoft.com and enter either "automatic synchronization windows media player" or "manual synchronization windows media player" as you search term for click-by-click directions with pictures.

Short version: Connect mp3 player to computer, highlight sync tab, click on little black arrow and bring down drop-down menu, click on Set Up Sync, uncheck box that says "automatically synchronize blah blah blah"...
