My mp3 doesnt turn on
First, you have to find out why it doesn't "turn-on" before it could connect to the computer. The battery may be bad. If you have an external power adapter use it. If it powers ok, then connect it to the computer. If not, then the charging circuit is bad - it can't charge the battery as well as apply external power.
I have a Son digital
use winamp free, it will work with your player and it has a really easy interface
Connecting to computer and trying to put on songs
Hi,
I suggest you to backup all the songs in the Walkman
Player to the Computer and Format the Player. To Format the Player; press and
hold the BACK/HOME button,
select Settings-->Common Settings-->Format-->YES.
WARNING: There is a risk of data loss. If the memory is
formatted, all files including the Operation Guide (If applicable to your
model) stored in the player will be deleted. Be sure to verify the files stored
in memory prior to formatting and export necessary files to the hard disk of
your computer or other device.
Once the Format completes, reset the Player by pressing the Reset
button located at the bottom of the Player using a sharp pointed object. Now
you can transfer the required songs and files to the Player using the supplied
Software or by dragging and dropping the songs through Windows Explorer. This
will resolve the issue.
Good Luck!
Thank you for using

Sony Walkman NWZ-S615F problem detecting and syncronizing
I had the same problem. One day my Mp3 started acting weird and said it was not recognizing the files and that i needed to re download them. Try plugging it up to your computer while its charging and hit the power off. Then reset your mp3 with the button at the bottom and it should recognize it.
How to transfer songs from computer to player
Your MP3 player works just like any memory stick or usb drive. Open 'computer' on the desktop to see a list of drives available. Your hard drive will appear as C: and the MP3 player (assuming it's plugged in) will appear as a different letter like E: or F: and be proceeded by the words "removable drive". Double-click to open the MP3 player and you will see a file folder there. Click-and-drag or copy-and-paste the desired music files directly into this folder as you would move any other files in Windows.
Now, when you unplug the MP3 player from you computer you should be able to access those songs and play them

Stuck on opening screen wont turn off or charge
Learn to reset the device using the method shown on your manual. You can also connect it to the computer to scan the files for any corrupt inactive ones and delete them. i think resetting should solve this issue.Helpful ? Good day
How many songs can it hold

In regards to your question it is actually easier to look at the play time of the song because the long the bigger the file will be.
So your standard MP3 is recorded at 128kbps which is CD quailty. At this bit rate every 64mb of space will equal an hour of playback.
So if you have a device that has 512mb of space you 8 hours of playback and for ever 1gig of space you get 16 hours of playback.
However just to let you know on average 1gig of space usually will have 400 to 500 songs again dependiing if you have alot of longs songs and if you encoded the files at a higher bit rate.
Let me know if you have any more questions

Hi there and welcome at Fixya, the support team (lfete)
Please try to uninstall the real player and install it again.
Installing a program:
normally when you install a program, you simply double-click on the program file, and then a setup wizard comes up, follow the setup wizard through the installation process.
Uninstalling a program :
For uninstalling a program, simply go to Start- Control Panel- Add and Remove programs, and select the program you want to uninstall and follow the Wizard on the screen
Try with that first :O)
Hope it helps
IF NOT then try to return here
Have a nice time over there
