Try reinstalling drivers, if any came with the audio device.
Try plugging it up in the back of the system.
It has an usb connection in the back.

1. Connect it to the computer using the data cable provided by the manufacturer(Samsung)
2. Go to Computer/ My Computer
3. Look for the removable drive( Samsung YP-U3 MP3 Player)
4. Right click then choose format

This should be the quickest way to delete all data inside your player

if you have plugged it in and turned let it charge for for 30 minutes and it still wont turn on. it is a lost cause.
unfortunately you will need to buy a new one.

all you have to do is eject the usb and plug it in to a usb port on your computer, the same way you upload music to it, if not in use it will automatically charge. :)

probably with a new screen i have the same problem with my ipod touch but im not sure where or how to get the screen so if u find out where to get a new screen let me know

Try this solution to your problem.

Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio Books, etc. from MP3 Player

Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal
Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on
"Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that
you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want,
release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now your mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
Be careful and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player.

same here,,, I opened it and unpluged black and red wired. and then connect them all again. It works now.

first you need to install the software for it (does not work on win7 so with win7 you cannot use it)
the link for both bits of software you need.

download and run them. the media studio program will then popup when you insert the mp3 player - if not us ethe manual to select that program manually.

I would see if you have another charger, that way you can isolate whether its the charger or the battery. I would then contact Samsung to set up a warranty.

I had the same problem with my MP3 player, and it turns out the problem was because I didn't have Windows Media Player 10 or Higher. After I installed WMP 10, it recognized my MP3 player and I was able to browse the player and copy songs.

do mean when the YP-U3 player is inserted into the computer, it works perfectly but after it is removed from the computer is does not on?

If the above is what you mean, then the battery of your Samsung mp3 is dead.

Again you said the battery is full, then maybe the power button is bad.

The mp3 does not need any software update because it is obvious from the computer that nothing is wrong with the player's software.

So let's focus our mind on the power button and probably the battery. Showing battery full does not matter, the battery might be faulty.

The player can turn on through the computer because its collect power directly from it and why is it not turning on when removed from the computer?

This makes it obvious that the problem is from the powering aspect of the player and that's what drew my attention to the battery or power button. But I suspect the battery.

So the way way forward is to take the player to a repairer and the main problem be diagnosed so that a solution would be proffered.

You may not have the right software on your computer for your USB device to be recognized. You may need to update your driver software. Click "Start" on your taskbar menu and go to the "Control Panel". Under "Security" click "Check for Updates". If updates are shown, click "Install Updates" (some updates may require you to reboot your computer). If this does not work, click the "System & Maintenance", in the "Device Manager" group, click "Update Device Drivers" (Windows will pop up a window that says it needs permission in order to continue, click "Continue". A tree map will be shown with different devices on your PC, choose "Universal Serial Bus controller". Choose your device and click the "Update Driver Software" icon (the third to last icon on the toolbar). If you want, and I would suggest this, click on all of the devices you see in that group and update all of them. If that doesn't work, you might have to register your product online first, then try connecting your USB drive to your computer. Remember, your OS (Operating System) must be compatible with Windows 2000/XP/Vista or newer.

There's a possibility that it has a loose wire connection inside or the battery is already dead. You need to send it to an authorized repair shop, so that they could fix it.

Try to press the power button while it is connected to your computer. See if it will show up charging. If it is not, then you may need to contact Samsung Support.
