No sound from Roland E80 speakers

well it needs service, using the service manual ,tools and skills' so get it service by a shop. not told at all how the kbd is connected and to what. just he word speakers told? use the left rear, speaker line out L/R fails> (if yes bad external amp speakers or if using the internal speakers those are actually bad both? then the speakers inside are bad or the amp that drives the 2 are bad inside, we test those to find this out. inside speaks use inside speakers amps the to jack 1/4 inch inch are not amps, those are line out jacks. 100mV signals that only an external amp can juse, directly my guess, is the internal amp is bad. it needs service, by an electronic tech, as that is what it is. or blown fuse inside or things directly related to just the amp inside.

My Roland BK3 has no sound; i can hear the faint power sound through the speakers;the display is perfactly working but no sound coming out

Have you tried a different output cable? I know, it seems simple, but it's often the problem. If you have and the problem remains, I suggest calling the manufacturer to see if there is a known problem. Many manufacturers have a website & service number for resolving problems with their products.

I have a roland keyboard mixing amplifier, KC-550.

The KC-550 is a MONAURAL amp and since the Ipod emits STEREO you have to use a special cable to MIX both the left and right from the Ipod into a single, monaural signal.

You can MAKE a cheapy mixer that will serve your purpose by using a series resistor, say 1K from each of the two Ipod output channels to go to the single mono input to the KC-550.

I would build it this way: Find an old IPOD cable or any 1/8 inch stereo cable and seperate the two wires and the shield. In a 1/4 inch plug, connect the shield from the Ipod cable to the shield (barrel sleeve) of the 1/4 inch plug. Connect one lead of each of TWO 1K resistors to the TIP connection of the 1/4 inch plug. Connect each of the two signal leads from the Ipod to the two remaining floating resistor leads. Insulate the splices.

DON'T forget to put the shell for the 1/4 inch plug over the cable before connecting the cable to the 1/4 inch jack. All parts should be readily available at Radio Shack.

I don't know that I have ever seen a suitable ready made mixer cable for this function.

I need a power transformer for roland sde -3000

If your transformer is fried then you will have to replace it of course, but if it has only opened the thermal fuse that is tucked into the primary windings then you can replace that and not have to replace the entire transformer. Be sure to use the same temperature and type thermal fuse as the original. You will find the thermal fuse tucked in where the ac power in wires go into the transformer and you may have to clear some plastic out of the way in order to get to it. Be very very carfull that you do not nick or cut or break any of the magnet wire that makes up the windings of the transformer. Good luck.

Roland amps

Hi rockbert

Yes you can do this. the only drama you may have is at high levels where one amp may begin to clip and distort before the other. If you are trying to run a stereo setup, you could counter this to some degree by adjusting the bigger amps gain down to the same level as the smaller amp if needed, giving you control over the "stereo balance".

I am more than happy to answer any other questions you may have about it, just give me a hoy :) If you are still unsure, or have problems, then before you give a rating for this advice, please get back to me and we can try some more things.
Thanks for using FixYa, If you consider the advice I have given you as sound, a FixYa rating is a great reward for my efforts to help you. Cheers.
