Welcome to Fixya
You must have the windows operating disk to reinstall the print spooler. You may order the disk to lenovo. Here's the contact number 18774536685 then press option 3. Once you have the disk, here's the procedure on how to install the print spooler service.
-
Log on to your PC computer with an administrator account.
-
Open the "Start" menu and click on the "Run" button.
-
Type "sfc /scannow" into the text box and hit "Enter" on your keyboard. The system files scanner will launch and will begin searching for missing configuration files, including the Print Spooler.
-
Put the Windows installation CD into your disk drive when prompted. The computer will copy the Print Spooler files from the CD and restore them to the proper location in the operating system.

the problem of power off after startup can be caused by:
- a Faulty ATX power supply (the power good signal was not prperly generated to the motherboad)
- Cpu fan problem, the CPU temperature is abnormal
- faulty motherboard
to solve this problem, first change your ATX power supply unit with the same power rate.
then clean the radiator and the fan. if the problem still not solved change your motherboad.
WONT WORK JUST KEEPS LOADING
If it just keeps loading the operating screen, eg: Windows. It shows that either it is not able to cope with the load that it is given or it has been corrupted.
Open the side panel and disconnect the Hard drive, now turn on.
It should come up with a sign saying, Primary disk failure.
Does it stay stable on this screen for a while, longer than 10 minutes?
Now connect the Hard drive.
You may need to either repair windows or reinstall windows on your computer.
Remember to back up your important information as it will be lost if you reinstall windows.

Hi,
I have had this problem before. If you recently installed another operating system on your computer and you did not back up your audio driver then you must not have one for the operating system you are currently running. For the Lenovo 3000 J series PC desktop you should have the ADI Soundmax audio driver for windows XP. The solution is to download the driver and then install it on your computer. Restart and then it should work. To download the drivers:
Visit the Lenovo website
Go to support
Find your product
Go to downloads and drivers
Download the ADI soundmax audio driver
Good Luck

Can you still boot the computer to safe mode? Try booting the computer to safe mode by pressing F8 key the moment your turn on the computter. Download this
file to a different computer and save it to a flash drive. Once you are done downloading this file to the flash drive, insert the flash drive to you lenovo computer then copy the file to C:\windows\system32. Restart the computer after copying the file and you are go to go.

I want to install windows
Your system should be able to run Windows 7 as is. However, if you decide to go this route I would upgrade your ram to the 2gb max at the very least.
To tell you the truth, however, I personally would recommend just buying a new machine as opposed to upgrading. By the time you add up the money that you would spend on new ram/video card/hard drive to make the upgrade worthwhile you would be spending more than what a low end desktop would cost ya at Best Buy. Not only would the price be equivalent... but you would have way better specs, a new machine, and a warranty to go with it.
I need to do a
Try booting to "safe mode" by pressing F8 as the computer starts till you see the menu.
then often you can sign in as Administrator with a blank password. and make new profiles ect. (sometimes it works, worth a shot anyway), depends on how things have been setup.
Also just try a blank for password, that is often overlooked aswell.
cheers. System restore is initallized by watching for the F key to press when the system initiallizes. commonly F1-F2 F10 or F12
Cannot boot off the cd rom, goes to harddrive
Try the cd in another computer to see if you can boot from that one using the cd - if you can then the cd is probably o.k.
Also I've had this problem when the boot disk has turned out to be a dvd and not a cd at all and when the boot sequence takes place - because it is a dvd then it doesn't recognise it and goes straight to the hard disk.
