I have this Casio TE-2400 at first when powered on it displays this
'Init'
LLLLLLLLLL
then when i press any buttons on the panel it gives this error code
E004
Please could anybody help me clear this problem
Thanks
Hi.
This is very serious. It means the register is about to completely clear everything (or may have done so already). If it has been sitting for a long time without power, or new out of the box, then this is normal. We can try to jump it back out of the init mode.
Follow these steps very carefully:
Turn the power off at the wall.
Turn the key to PROGRAM mode.
Hold RECEIPT FEED button down.
Turn power on at wall.
When you see the display change to 'FFFFFFFFFF' let go of RECEIPT FEED.
Press SUBTOTAL
Turn the key back to REG mode and try it. If you get error 8, then you may need to log a clerk back on.
Let me know if you have problems.
Mark

I'm about ready to return this cash register before i pull out all of my hair :(. I'm trying to program the PLUs. I got the tax status for each done (not sure how) but the actually pricing is driving me crazy! According to the 2 sets of directions that i received when I purchased it. . . i am to go into program 1, then put in the plu number press the plu key, enter the plu amount and press ca/ten. Well. . . i did that and now all the PLUs show up as the PLU # (i.e. PLU key 1 - - $0.01, PLU key 45 = $0.45) To make matters worse some of the PLU keys seem now require a condimate or preperation PLU?????????? While there is a description of these two items. . . there is no explanation on how it's programmed.
Help!!!!!. . . I also have the manual for programming via windows - good luck with that - you need to understand DOS! ! ! !
Is there somewhere that i can send my menu listing, keyboard set up, etc and a flash card - have the programming downloaded to it and then simply install it that way????
HELP
Hi. You have been given the wrong instructions. That is why it is now all screwed up. Pricing is dead easy. You have condiments setup because you have set key features in prog 3 mode. It shouldn't be too hard to fix. We'll start with prices: Turn key to Program mode Type the price (no decimal point) Press a PLU (item button) to set the price to. Press SUBTOTAL To remove condiments, you need prog 3 mode. While key is on program, press 3 then SUBTOTAL. The display must change to "P3" Now press 0 (zero) then one of the PLUs that has condiments set. Press SUBTOTAL to finish. It may remove the tax status, so turn back to REG mode and test the PLU. If the tax has gone, then reprogram the tax setting for that PLU. Let me know if you get stuck. Mark

Royal 435dx - PE error. How do I clear it?
It means printer error. Make sure you don't have paper jammed in the printer, then turn off and on at the wall.

How to reset factory settings on a Casio SE-S400
Just leave it for 10 mins unplugged without the batteries in it.
If you need a manual to re-program it, one of the users has one here:
