Disconnects again nd again

Routers can connect up to 8 computers at same time, However quite it places strain on the router itself. What you will need to do is to update the firmware on your router to do that here is a direct link to the drivers needed.

I have a Zyxel wireless

You should have entered the key in the computer to setup the network and then save that connection. Check your setting on the Dell for that connection to make sure it saved correctly.

I know what you're going through as it is common on Belkin routers. There are actually some good solutions to this found on youtube for simple instruction to help demostrate but I'm gleaned you already have done some of the advanced steps. Here is my question did you ever set your xbox 360 with a static ip address and then add it to the firewall/virtual server settings. You put the static ip address in and the xbox 360 ports.

I need the security key

  1. Look through the manual for your particular model of router. Contained within should be the IP (Internet protocol) address for your router. Input this address into your Internet browser to access your router's security settings. The address will typically be something like 192.168.1.1

  2. Enter the default user name and password for the router, which should also be in the instruction manual. If you have lost the manual, you can often obtain an electronic copy online at the manufacturer's website. Most default router passwords are something along the lines of "username: admin," "password: admin." Thus, try inputting "admin" as both the username and the password if you are having trouble locating your manual.

  3. Navigate to the "wireless security" option from the Options menu that will appear in your Internet browser. There you will find the network security code listed under the WEP settings. Write the code down and keep it in a safe place. You can change the code every month if you feel it necessary to prevent people from attaining access to your network through sheer luck and persistence. Default settings are:

  4. IP adddress: 192.168.1.1

  5. Username : admin

  6. password: 1234

Linksys wrt54gs changing upnp settings

Hi, you can enable UPnP on a Linksys WRT54GS router by logging in and then clicking on the Administration tab. The first sub-tab is Management, and at the bottom of that page there are buttons to enable or disable UPnP. Click Enable and then click Save Settings at the bottom of the screen.

I know exactly what you're going through

Give the router's Customer service a call.

Then tell them you need to do Port Forwarding for Xbox Live

On my Belkin I had to do the same thing, but i also set the xbox to run on a separate I.P address, and then turned the firewall off on that I.P specifically.

The ports should be :

* TCP 80
* UDP 88
* UDP 3074
* TCP 3074
* UDP 53
* TCP 53

If that doesnt work it may be your bandwidth. I have been having issues with my wireless on Live because of having too many things running. Try unplugging the ethernet from some things in your home, or turning off the wireless on your laptops before doing this, just to make sure that's really what's wrong.

Good luck, and happy gaming.

Hi there! i have a

Sometimes not just the dmz or port configurations cause your nat settings to be other than open, you may not have good internet connection, the better it is the more you will open. Most routers are open by default, and those others need to be forwarded(like you wrote) with the upnp open and specific ports for xbox/ps3 servers opened. You seem to know a little already, maybe time to get a new router?,I recently upgraded myself due to problems with configuration.

Describe your Zyxel P--2602HW-D1A Router

marco_jager

With your router you have you are not able to setup a DMZ as it just has a standard firewall in it. If you are wanting to setup a DMZ you would need an advance device like a Cisco or Sonicwall device to set this up.

The other question I have is why do you want to setup a DMZ for your PS3. The point of a DMZ is to isolate a part of your network from the other. Normally this is done for a website so your do not block people from accessing it but at the same time to not let them access your provite network.

Now is if you are worried about someone hacking into your network through your PS3 this not a big issue but for added security you can get a firewall device to install on your network to monitor your traffic and block any unwanted traffic.

Let me know if you have any more questions

Router username and password

By default the username is admin, and the password is admin. If these are not working it only means one thing that those log in credentials have been change and if you don't remember those you next option here is to reset the router by holding the reset button for 15 seconds and it will be back to the default settings including the default username and password.
