No wonder the education system is in such a state if you buy toys like this for children, then don't treat them properly. What children need is books and pens, not electronic gadgetry.
go control panel > go to programs and features > high light flip share and all flip share lines ( one at a time )
click on uninstall again until all of the lines are deleted
that may be the case but you should the cameras set to record to an external tera bit hard drive as the hard drive in the computer will not handle that amount of stored data computers are only an operating system and data storage such as cameras data need a large storage area away from the pc hard drive
call in IT experts to set up the system properly
I had the same problem with the battery not charging. I used a sharp knife to scratch the contact points on the battery and all was good. Thanks for the support in this thread.
I have the same problem....someone please post solution!
I've tried systematically deleting each of the database type files on the Flip (while keeping a saved copy on my computer hard drive). This doesn't seem to help. I've just got one minute of video it will allow me to shoot!!!!!
I took the battery out and then connected to the computer and It recognized it. So I was able to upload videos. I have three flip camera, only one has this glitch. I am going to try the remove battery for 48 hours route so to restore it to how it used to work.JMR
One solution I can think of off the top of my head it to use Piriform's "Recuva" program. You can find it here: https://www.piriform.com/recuva/download.
After installing, run the program.
Then, on the welcome screen, hit "Next".
Now, choose what type of file you want to search for. In your case you could either choose "Video" or "All Files."
Click "Next."
On this screen, select "In a specific location" and click "Browse."
Navigate to your Flip Camera.
You can either choose to "Enable Deep Scan" or not. (Doing so will find more files but will take longer.
Click start and the program will work its magic.
Note: This could take some time depending on the size of the device memory.
Once the program is finished you will see a list of files. There will be colored circles next to each entry. Green files are fully recoverable, yellow may have some damage, and red are unrecoverable.
Let me know if you need more assistance.

I found the solution!
Just put the Flip camera back into any computer on which you deleted files — then, with the Flip camera still attached, empty your trash bin.
All of the time comes right back. The only catch is if you have deleted files on many different computers. At some point, you will have to go back to those computers, insert the Flip, empty the trash and then you'll get your minutes back.
It's awesome. I am back in love with the Flip.

What about if I can get it charge, full green bar, but it won' turn on. Then after some time messing with it, I get it to charge again and the battery is empty again. Any ideas???
Oh, this is easy. It's your laptops video card processing the video format slowly. Try converting to something like WMV. This happens a lot with uncompressed video files. This problem is worse on laptops than desktops.
Tony, we are recently running into the same issue. If you are only looking to use Flipshare to save and/or compress your videos, we found that you can do the following after clicking through the error messages:Use the top menu and select Share -> Online -> Others ...You can then upload this compressed video to other sharing sites. - Ryan
