As long as you have the bill of sale, then you have coverage for the first year from the manufacturer. That's normal coverage with BestBuy.

No sound on an lg 37lc7d tv?

Your main pcb could still have gotten damaged due to the defective caps. The reason you still have audio through the optical is because it is a digital signal only. It is not running through the audio amplifier on the main board. I would suspect either the main pcb or the speakers them self.

THE ON AND OFF SWITCH CLICKS AWAY CONSTANTLY RED STANDBY BUTTON FLASHES NO PIC ON TELLY

Hello,That is a very common symptom of a failure of the filter capacitors in the power supply board. You can either purchase a new power supply board which runs about $75-85 or you can rebuild your board for less than $20. If you want to rebuild your board you will need to replace the defective capacitors on the board. Here is a link to information showing where the capacitors are located on the board and the values needed to do the replacement.http://www.ccl-la.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=214I hope this helps you out,BuddyMc

My screen is showing the menu even when I have

You may have a burned image, but usually I don't see those unless it's an old model or a plasma...LCD's are less likely for burned in images. Try to unplug your TV for a little bit so it can reset and see if it's not a software error. If still there than it must be a burn in. If you left your menu on for a long time...and I mean long...then that can do it, but tv's usually have a screen saver to prevent that. If anything, let it rest and not use the TV for a while and hope patience is the cheapest repair.
Hope this helps ^_^
