the codes are 4 digit. try 1 of these 1168 - 1169 - 0081 - 0112 -0143 - 1011 - 0050 - 1000 -1222 -1322 - 1189 - 0218 - 0219 - 0220 - 0221 - 0222. sorry so many codes but this is the list they gave if theydon't work try them again there for all vizio lcd,led,plasma tv's

Take ur hand and pushes all around the tv frame bazel see if the veritical blue line react like flashes or lighter or darker,than this tv can not be repair at all because the LCD screen itself it is the caused,the LCD screen cost same as a new tv if it is require to be replace.If there are no reaction of the blue line at all than ur tv have a circuit board problem.The T-CON board is dying,this board sit in the middle bottom of the LCD screen,must be replaced will solved this problems.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a new refurbish T-Con board for the replacement.

are you using a box and component connection to the set?

Check the back light inverter board, and lamps.

I EMAILED VIZIO ABOUT MY PROBLEM. THEY RESPONDED IN 3 DAYS. THE TECH AND I THEN TRADED A COUPLE OF EMAILS. HE CONFIRMED THE INFO ABOUT THE TV WITH ME. HE EMAILED ME THE SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM AND PART NUMBER. IT WAS THE MAIN BOARD. I ORDERED THE PART AT VIZPARTS.COM FOR ABOUT 180.00. INSTALLED IT MYSELF AND THE TV WORKS FINE. I WISH IT HAD BEEN UNDER WARRANTY BUT IT WAS 18 MONTHS OLD AND THE WARRANTY WAS FOR 12 MONTHS.

Look for any jammed buttons on remote or on control panel. Switch off TV manually, switch off power, remove plug and retry after 48 hours.If problem persists, please refer it to a qualified service technician.

I see so many here with no sound/nopicture issues:ISSUES: 1. IF sound main fuse/s are good.2. If no power or standby check main fuse, standby power supply and any signsof damage you can see---burnt parts etc.3. almost all these sets the troubleshooting involves checking voltages on the main power board to narrow down theproblem.4. Be safe and if you do not know what you are doing don't open the set.Answers to issues:1. RE:fuses---if a blown fuse is found get a good replacement(not the genericones like Radio Shack). Many fuses are special even aside from amperage--Don'tput a higher rated amperage fuse in the set for any reason.2. RE: power supply in set: if total dead aside from main fuse the set uses astandby power supply that runs 7/24 and a main supply (some are combined andsome not.Here aside from checking fuses you want to examine all the filter caps on thepower/standby to see if any are puffed up or buldged up in some fashion--Iattach a photo of a good one---top should be silver metal and PERFECTLY flatand have no brown material coming out on top or bottom.What happens in the standby area is they use caps with too low a voltage rating(saves money) which causes them to fail in a year or two---the standby runs7/24 and the heat dries out the caps and they fail.3. Trouble shooting consists of the above and then at some point you have to buyand try a board to see if it fixes it or not.4. Safety first--no TV set is worth getting injured or even killed over.If set is opened at least look for puffed up and bad caps like in thisphoto.

This can be due to possible AC factors in the power supply and is due to poor regulation. So check for faulty, leaked or weak capacitors, if the fault clears up on heat then thisis for sure. If so you can simulate heat using a hair dryer to pinpoint the area of fault and confirm. Also placing a capacitor of similar value in parallel to the suspected capacitor will confirm as the fault changes. Attempt only if equipped.
