yes , the problem on this tv is the screen the only way to fix this problem is by replacing the screen but the screen cost to much money sorry for u loose

call up some local repair shops ( tv repair shops) they usually have some kicking around that you can pick up rather cheap. Super simple replacement too you will be shocked at how little it takes to replace them!

I just worked on this last week 13 blinks means there is a problem with the backlights.So it can be 1 of 2 things bad inverter board( which costs less than $200) or the panel in which case you can thow the TV away as it will probably cost as much for a new TV.Unfortunately the set I worked on ended up being panel. If you try the inverter board just take your time removing it its plugged in rather tight I gently tapped it out with a screwdriver to get it started.

This is not a unusual amount for repair. Most repair facilities do not like using used parts on sets they have to warranty after a repair. They would then be liable if were to fail and then they would be replacing it at a greater cost to them. You could check with Sony and see what their retail cost is on the part. Their Customer Service Line is 1800-222-SONY.

The power supply board is the problems and the causes.That the board,where the power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

There is problem need to replaced Panel which is very costly.if you want to replaced then call your near service centre and confirm the price of LCD panel by given the Model number of TV.

hope you find an answer we have exactly the same prob its almost the exact same age too which is very weird

Sorry serviced manual don't get released by the tvs corporations to the publics.Only the tvs corporations serviced Techs. and Engineers can get hold of these schamatics.Most of the people here that giving u advices and the technical know how are former tvs corporations Tech. or engineers or services centers Tech. that was hires to seviced their return products or warrenties products.Or people have exsperiecing buy fixing the products themselves.

(1)Reset your tv from setup menu then auto tune analogu chanel.
(2)if still no sound then update your tv softwear from sony site.
(3)If still sound not then need to replaced main board problem.

Try tv unplug,replug about an hour later.The tv now,resetting to factory setting.The tv now,should work.Not than,the power supply board is dead.That the board,where the power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Its stuffed full of high voltage electronics that put out heat. Do you have proper air flow? Is the TV in a console or backed up to close to a wall? Very normal for them to put off heat. Should be able to feel it 6-8 inches from the screen. Overheating may become a problem in the future for your set... Check out your set-up and see if you could improve the air flow. Well just think in the winter you'll save on heating your place up... (((SMILES)))

Power supply board is dead 90% of the times.When the power turn on LED power light indication flashes.5% might be the Tuner board,that the board taking in the incomming broscasting cable plug into this board.5% might have both death boards,power supply board and the Tuner board.Problems,u have never indication LCD inverter board,backlight problems.U shouldn't have replaced the LCD inverter backlight board,bacause backlight are dead,have flashes of picture few sec.than dies,still have hear sound.

The power supply board is dead.Those high voltage transformers on the power supply board,one those power coil have a short in it,that why it cause this shutdown a have a loud electrical current noises.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com.Ebay.com to buy a new refurbish power supply board for the replacement,should solved this loud electrical noises shutdown to tv.

13 Times blinking shows Balancer Error and it is related with Back Light Inverter boards that are located on sides of LCD Panel (lcd screen) if you see it from rear side.
Let me know about your tv repair skills to guide you more, if you want to repair tv by yourself and if you think it is not your field then local tv repairman will help you to replace back light inverter boards.

Please unplug tv from wall socket for minute, replug back in and turn it On.
If that does not solve the problem and tv goes to standby mode, that means some internal problem in tv boards.
You will notice standby light flashing, count its flashing and let me know to diagnose problem.
There would be 3 seconds long pause between standby light flashes so count pause to pause and post back to find out possible cause of problem.
