Bottom of fridge collects water

Hello there:
I have written a few steps for you to follow and try ok?
  1. Manufacturers have different ways to dispose of the water created during automatic defrost cycles. The most common design routes the water down a rubber tube on the back of the fridge to a tray beneath. This tube often gets plugged with breadcrumbs, peas etc. and can generally easily be removed and cleaned.
  2. Make sure the end of the hose is sitting in the defrost tray.
  3. If your hose was not plugged and you have found water running down the back wall inside the fridge or a pool under the bottom crisper has formed. Check if there is a small funnel located on the back wall near the top inside the fridge. It can also get plugged; you can use a small wire and work it in and out of the hole.
  4. Some designs do run the water down the back wall and have a drain hole under the crisper, make sure it is not plugged.
I hope that this has been verry helpfull for you
best regards michael

Smell from dishwasher

Hi there Susan! The manufacturer recommends cleaning the unit out periodically. Check the trap underneath the lower sprayer arm for food particles and debris. Clean this area out to the best of your ability. Next run a hot water cycle, with no dishes inside, with either an appliance cleaner such as Glisten, or white vinegar. This will help dissolve the grime and odor within the unit if you do this every so many cycles.

Burners seem to have less heat. Very small flames

Hello Carol, here are some simple troubleshooting tips to help resolve this issue: First, make sure that burner caps are properly installed and are on the correct burner. Similar sized caps can mistakenly be placed on the wrong burner. Moisture can clog the ports after cleaning. Lightly fan the flame to remove moisture. Allow the burner to operate until moisture is gone and the flame is full. On some surface burner designs there are different size ports that produce flames of different lengths. This is normal. Lastly, the burner ports may be clogged. With the burner turned off, it is recommended for a professional to use a small-gauge wire or a needle to clean the ports. If the range continues to experience the same issue, it could possibly have a defective power supply, gas supply, or clogged ports. I would suggest contacting a professional to accurately diagnose and repair the appliance.

I have a Fridgidaire Front load Gallery Series Washer, Even when the machine is off the water is still comming into the barrell and the cycles aren't working right. help????

Hi bingoqueen12 - Often when a unit continues to fill with water, it is because the water valve or sensor is faulty or the control board is experiencing a communication problem. The unit may possibly think that there is not enough water inside and/or the control board is not controlling the water valve correctly. I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose the washer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.

Freezer temp keeps going up

Hi alishiashelt - Based on the symptoms you are describing, it could be a number of things: fans not operating properly, lights staying on inside the unit, defrost issue on the Freezer evaporator, refrigerator sealed system issues, and doors not sealing. At this point, I would strongly recommend connecting with an expert tech to get the appropriate diagnosis prior to making any unnecessary parts replacements.

My ice taste like metal and the filter does not

I have a whirlpool refriderator that only makes ice. There is no filter in the fridge itself. The water line in the basement is copper, then it has a valve off of the main line. I originally had installed a stainless steel line running to the refriderator. The order of the ice can be described as a metal tasting taste. I purged the line prior to connecting it. I then replaced it with a pvc line, purging it all so. The taste of metal isn't there but it still has a small taste to it. Prior to having a ice maker, we made ice in ice trays with the sink water and had no issues. Can someone shed some light on this issue please.

Lcd reqds 5y ce

Hi John Dirksen- Could the error code possibly be SY CE? If so, it typically means that the unit has detected a communication error at power up. A professional will need to check the wiring between the main control board and user interface. Depending on the diagnoses from the professional either part may need replacing.

How to prevent Water line to dispensor from freezing

Hello Ceci Phillips - Start by confirming that there isn't any gap in the sealed and check for any ice or frost buildup on the back wall of the unit. Also try to maintain an above average temperature in the freezer compartment and that it is not too low. If issue continues that I would suggest contacting a professional to move forward accurately for a proper diagnoses.

Please ensure that the water filter has been changed. If you are not receiving water to the dispenser it may also be a frozen water line and will need the assistance of a Service Specialist.

Freezer ices up and fridge part warm, timer changed worked well for 2 weeks model frt 163ag no frost fridge

Hello Claire Trancoso - If the refrigeration side is the one with the issue, you need to check the damper door/switch that is between both doors. In side by side units this damper controls the cool air from the freezer to come over to the refrigeration side to cool it. Contact a professional technician to diagnose if the unit has a floating restriction, an issue with the evaporator fan or a possible air leak.
