The Arcing is a real bad sign, and you see the "Brain" has detected a fault condition, most likely the Power Supply and or magnetron, or High Power Diode, has "Faulted" and it shuts down for Safety reasons. Due to the danger existing inside MW, I recommend that you have it serviced by a qualified person. Always get a firm "Quote" before proceeding with any work. Be careful, as often a repair may cost as much as a new one.

Chances are you have a shorted high voltage diode or bad magnetron, or possibly a bad high voltage transformer.

yes, i buy them at home depot, they are a bit rare, 90 degree extenision cords. usually they only carry one type. you can wire it into your microwave, or use as extension cord. this is good for tight spaces, like beside bed or wall.it is also safer rather than pressing on plug to wall.

I hope you didn't run the microwave with nothing in the cavity, if you did, it will damage the magnetron. The turntable dishes do get hot depending on the quality of the glass used to make it. Heat is caused by impurities in the glass. If you run it with no food in the oven, the glass will try to absorb the energy with atastrophic results usually.

The thermistor has failed. Replace the thermistor with the Sharp approved type and part number.
