Reboot the phone by doing the following:

• Turn OFF the handsets
• Unplug the power source of the BASE
• Unplug the phone line from the BASE
• Wait for 15 minutes
• Connect back the power source and the phone line
• Turn ON the handsets
• Then try to retrieve the messages

Try also to leave a message using another phone line and see if the recent message can be retrieved.

Basically that section of the manual reads as follows:

Greeting message

When the unit answers a call, callersare greeted by a greeting message.
You can record your own greeting message or use a prerecorded greeting message.

Recording your greeting message.

You can record your own greeting message (max. 2 minutes and 30 seconds).
If you do not record a greeting message, a prerecorded greeting message is used.

1 Press the MENU button.

2 Scroll to ANSWERING DEVICE using the up and down arrow keys and then press OK.

3 Scroll to RECORD GREETING then press OK.

4 After the handset beeps, speak clearly about 20 cm (8 inches) away from the microphone.

5 To stop recording, press the OK button.

6 Then press the OFF button.


Using a prerecorded greeting message.

If you erase or do not record your own greeting message, the unit plays a prerecorded greeting message for callers and ask them to leave messages.


Playing back the greeting message.

1 Press the MENU button.

2 Scroll to ANSWERING DEVICE using the up and down arrow keys and then press OK.

3 Scroll to PLAY GREETING then press OK.

4 Then press OFF.

It should be in the user's manual on how to do that. But, if you don't have the user's manual, then Google the phone type and model number, and then type in "user's manual" right next to it, then hit enter. I tried it myself and it took me right to several different user's manual's, depending on your model number! Good luck!

hey! Generally the kind of phone you are having does not support hacking with secret codes. So you can not unlock it by those tips and tricks.
well i suggest you to have master reset to your phone, but in many phones it requires lock code again.
so you do introduce your phone to an authorised service centre of panasonic phones, they will unlock it for you at approx rs.200/- as indian currency of $5.
well, try local service centre for more cheaper rates.

Take the batteries out of the phone, leave it to dry on a towel standing up for 24 hours. It should resume working after this is done.

A black or blank screen appears generally due to the physical damage to your phone. There may be a broken screen or must be some problem in your integrated circuit(I.C.). I Have not seen your phone, so i cant tell you correctly but not better handle your phone to some authorised or local mobile repair shop. If their is circuit problem then i cant tell you correct cost, since it depends but your phones original screen will cost approximately $8.regards

what do you mean numbers if you want to add phones I think its a menu choice and then place itin the base
