I have a propane Jenn Air gas wall oven. The broiler works fine, the bottom log will not light because it isn't getting gas. The light to ignite the gas is working fine. What do I do? I do not hav

most likely you have a bad bake igniter go here and look at part if it looks like this get it and replace the igniter,if your igniter that you have now glows but doesn't lite the flame within 40 seconds it's bad, when the igniter gets 3.6 amps it opens the gas valve and the heat from the igniter or glow bar ignites the flame,no more pilots it's all electronic now.hope this helps,it comes with two ceramic wire nuts, cut the two wires that come off the old igniter close the the body, strip the wires back, and here's a tip,wet a paper towel and wet the threads on the screws that hold the igniter in place, they come out alot easier and don't strip, you don't want to use wd or anything that will smell when it heats up water works great, then you want to make your new wires long enough so you can tuck the wire nuts down into the floor if the tube goes down but get the nuts out of the direct heat in the oven cavity and reinstall the igniter to the tube. and then wire nut the wires together, shut the breaker off or unplug it depending on what model you have, but usually there's no power there and you don't have to shut the gas off,no gas will come out,the igniter is what opens the gas valve so it has to be on,it's a pretty easy job,you can go on utube if you need to see a video but it's that simple, cut the wires, reconnect the new igniter to the wires and wire nut them together,it doesn't matter what wire goes where, just make sure you wet the threads and make sure the wire nuts don't pull off,if they don't thread onto the wire, make one of the wires a little longer and then when you twist them together fold the wire over so it's thicker and it will thread into the nut better, just on the top bend the wire over so it's thicker with a pair of needle nose plyers.just the tip of the wire.

Hi I think that the Thermo-couple is bad That is the part that senses the flame or electric heat coil-heater warming up to ignite the flame for pilot light. there is a rod that is next to the electric coil which senses the heat coming from the coil. If that isn't working properly the pilot wont light and the log won't lite because the gas valve won't turn on for safety factors. The part is nit too hard to replace but you need to lay on the floor to get at it. Sometimes the lower shield or bottom lifts up and removes to service it . the thing is small about 1 in long with a copper tube, or steel braided jacket around the wire. the coil is maybe 6-10" long when rolled out. But don;t roll it out or bend a sharpkink in the thin copper tube because it will be ruined. The part doesn't cost much $10.00 -30.00. you may need some screwdrivers and 3/8 "or 7/16" open end wrench and maybe a 1/4 in. nut driver pliers.. Good luck, Bill

I had to pull my oven out of the wall and ever

It's an error code that will not go away until a technician resets it. Quote straight from the manual :

"The oven may detect a fault during programming or during operation. If a fault is
detected, the message "Fault detected - press power to clear" or "Fault detected -
press enter to try again" may appear. Follow directions in the display. If the fault
reappears or does not clear, call an authorized servicer or the toll-free number in the
display.
If the same operation is attempted before having the wall oven repaired, the message
"Feature not available" will appear. The feature will remain inoperable until service
is obtained":

Hi, and welcome to Fixya. I hope I can help you with this today!
This is a fairly easy task to take the door off.
Open door all the way open.

Remove the screws arond the hinge plate.

Flip hinges all the way up.

Pull out evenly and slide door off of hinge pins, as the hinges have a pivot post that goes inside the bottom of the door.

As for getting a replacement door, I would go to Best Buy, Sears, Fry's, or call Jenn Air customer support for ordering info.

Here is there #: 1-800-536-6247
They are open Monday through Friday 8am to 8pm EST, and on Saturday from 12 noon to 5pm EST.

Oven doesnt get to or hold temp

This is quite often a control board failure. We repair a lot of boards for this, but it could also be caused by a bad temperature sensor or corroded connections on the sensor plug. Here's a link to a related article on our website that may help you out:

We have a 30 in prostyle electric double wall oven

Hello- Many ovens use spring-loaded hinges to carry the weight of the door. Over time, these springs weaken or the hinge gets bent just enough to not fully close door. The door gasket can also become flat and stiff, compounding problem. Any small gap releases heated air, and oven will not heat up properly. Replacing the door springs should solve problem.- Thanks -Ed
