I have a Hotpoint HSS25GFTA BB. The water is not

Water is frozen inside the water tube that runs inside your freezer door. If you empty out the food in the door, you can use a hair dryer on medium heat to warm the frozen piece so it loosens enough the dispense out. Every 5 minutes, close the door and check if water dispenses. It takes between 15-30 minutes. GE makes a dispenser water tube heater that attaches to the top of the dispenser tube to prevent frozen tubes. The part is WR49X10173. Check to make sure it is compatible with your refrigerator. Amazon and Walmart.com sells the part. Good luck!

Where is the reset button on a hottpoint side by side refrigerator.

Self Diagnostics To enter Self Diagnostic mode, both temperature control panel displays must be illuminated. A display can be illuminated by pressing an adjacent temperature adjustment button. When both displays are illuminated, set the freezer and refrigerator temperature settings to 5. Simultaneously press and hold all 4 temperature adjustment buttons for approximately 3 seconds. A flashing 0 in the refrigerator and freezer displays will indicate that the refrigerator is in Self Diagnostic mode. To perform a self diagnostic test, locate the test in Table 2, Diagnostic Tests. For temperature control panels with single-digit displays, the COLDER temperature adjustment button will increment the numbers up and the WARMER temperature adjustment button will increment the numbers down. Use the freezer temperature adjustment buttons to enter the test code number in the freezer display. Use the refrigerator temperature adjustment buttons to enter the test code number in the refrigerator display. When a test code has been entered, the displays will flash to confirm the test. Press the HOLD button for 3 seconds to begin the test. For temperature control panels with 3-digit displays, the COLDER temperature adjustment button will increment the numbers down and the WARMER temperature adjustment button will increment the numbers up. Use the freezer temperature adjustment buttons to enter the test code number in the freezer display. Use the refrigerator temperature adjustment buttons to enter the test code number in the refrigerator display. When a test code has been entered, the displays will flash to confirm the test code. Press any button other than a temperature adjust button to begin the test. When testing has been completed, do one of the following things: • Enter code 1 5 to completely reset the system. • Enter code 1 6 to exit diagnostic mode. The temperature control panel is reset automatically. • Unplug the refrigerator for at least 10 seconds. Test mode will terminate when the refrigerator is plugged back in. Test mode will terminate automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity. Read more: http://appliancejunk.com/forums/index.php?topic=10408.0#ixzz3VIqUINVz

How do you change part # wr55x10025

This is a thermistor. It depends where it is located how you would be changing it but the generic answer would be unplug the refrigerator. remove the old one leaving some of the leads from the old one before you cut the wires. so you have some wire to work with. Using small wire nuts or crimp connectors wire the new thermistor to the old leads from the old thermistor it is best to either fill the wire connectors or crimp connectores wirh silicone sealant or tape the connectors with electrical tape to prevent water from entering the connections. Put the thermistor into position and away you go.

I am getting a loud screeching sound from freezer. It similar to the sound of brakes going on a car. Any suggestions?

In the freezer is a small fan the blows the freezer air into the fridge section. Either there is ice buildup and the fan blade is rubbing on it or the motor bearings are bad.You will need to remove the rear freezer panel to find out and/or replace the fan. They run from $25 to $60
