Mitsubishi wd65733 lamp problems

if you have replaced the lamp using the old cartridge that houses the lamp this is a little secret if you are still having issues with the tv not working.

For some strange reason the cartridge might not seat properly and the screws that hold the cartridge in the tv might not grab. If the picture is abit dim this is for you to.

Try this: Where the screw go throught the cartridge and screw into the t.v. is there the problem lies. It kinda loos like two ears top and bottom of left side of cartridge. the thickness of the ears where the screw goes through is now too thick to allow the screws to grab! You need to grind the tabs down so that the screws can reach further and male it to the prethreaded holes in the tv. This will also allow the housing to seat further down eliminating the dimness problem. This also will fix the prolem of te tv only sparking the ballast and not firing up the lamp. Give it a try. Be cautious on how much u grind. Go slowly and take your time! Clean that color wheel also!

I have a WD-65734 with white spots. It started

Your DLP chip is failing. The part number for the light engine is: 938P075050. This is going to cost a bit of money... if you have some TV experience, you could try to tear down the optical block and try to get some numbers of the DLP chip itself. Mitsi does not supply the DLP part number for service... they want the engine replaced. TVLampsForLess.com has the part for $450. I hope this was helpful, best wishes.

Black screen no picture and red lamp lites on

Hi,Is your tv close to 3000-4000 hrs 1-2yrs.If

its it might be time to replace the lamp.Your

part # is 915P061010 Make sure you get the

Philips lamp because it last longer 6000-8000 hrs. There's other components that

tend to go bad like the ballast which is the

board that powers the lamp. When that is

bad it will make continuous clicking noises

or attempts to light up the lamp. But if you

dont hear any of that then most likely its just

the lamp that needs to be replaced.Have a

blessed one!

Mitsubishi wd 65733: new bulb, 1 month ago, worked

The only thing that could cause the yellow light to blink after the new lamp is that the lamp lid or access door is not placed correctly or there might be some debris between the door and the door seat to where the door sensor switch is not being activated or the switch is erratic. Try using some compressed air to clean the switch and the door seat, that might do it for you. Thanks!

Mitsubishi WD-65733 no picture, electrical buzzes in series

What it sound's like is that the lamp ballast is the problem. Buzzing sounds like when the power is first brought to the ballast it has to ramp up the voltage to get the lamp to light, then the voltage drops back down when the lamp is lit. Sounds like the lamp ballast isn't ramping up the voltage the way it should. May have to replace it. A good service shop would be able to do this for you.
