Where should the sensor bar be?

The sensor bar can be placed either above or below the television. Be sure to select the appropriate sensor bar setting in the Settings menu, or you will have trouble controlling the remote.

Netflix is not pre-installed on the Wii. To install it, launch the Wii Shop Channel and click "Channels", then select it from the list (it is a free download).

I get the music but not the menu

Your video cable is not connected correctly to your TV, or the AV cord has come loose from the back of your Wii.

Wii won't recognize remotes

You need to pair new remotes before you can use them. There are two buttons you need to push. One is under the battery cover of the Wii remote. The other is under a small over on the front of the Wii (where SD cards are inserted). Press the button on the remote and then the button on the Wii. The lights on the remote should flash for a bit and then stay on.

What does a memory card do

There are two types of "memory cards" related to the Wii. GameCube memory cards are used to store saved games when playing GameCube games in the Wii's compatibility mode. SD cards are used primarily for backing up channels, save games, and WiiWare titles from internal memory. It can also be used for storing images to be viewed in the Photo channel, and for homebrew games (not officially supported).

What channel can I use for my wii as i get nothing

Unlike some older game consoles, the Wii does not have an RF output, meaning you don't tune the television to a specific channel to use it. The Wii uses composite video output using three RCA-type plugs. You will need a television that supports these inputs or an RF adapter.

How do you reboot a wii

To reboot a Wii, press the power button on the front or on the Wii Remote to shut it down, wait a few seconds, and then press it again. If the Wii has locked up, you can reboot by holding in the power button on the front for about 10 seconds until it powers off.

Master key isn't working for a factory reset on my wii. I bought this console secondhand and do not know any of the PIN numbers. what do I do?

To be honest, I wasn't aware that the Master Key applied to the Wii. However, you should be able to select the option, "I forgot." Once this prompt is selected you will be asked for the secret question that of course you will have no way of knowing either. Again select "I forgot." The system will require an email address and provide you with a confirmation number. Using the confirmation number and the email response from Nintendo should provide you the final reset steps. If you do not have internet access, the Nintendo support site says to call their support line. You may still be able to do this, but I was under the impression that nearly all Wii support has been terminated (or will be in the nearer future). Here is the site I am referencing from: Forgot Parental Controls PIN Nintendo Support

How do I hook up my wii to my smart tv

Without knowing the specific model of your TV, answering this can only be generic and these connections may not even exist on your equipment. In all likelihood you should have (at least) two audio inputs (one red and one white) along with one video input. The video input is not always yellow (see example image below) as it is sometimes only included with the composite video connection. There is no reason the Video/"Y" connection should fail to work with your video cable on the Wii's RCA adapter. hook-up-wii-smart-tv-loys4j5naceh32olcsu5fuaa-5-0.jpg

How do I hood up a Wii to an Insignia tv model# ns-32d312na15

You have two options. The first would be to connect the existing RCA cable connection using the configuration in this image I made from a screenshot (below). Otherwise you would be limited to an RF modulator and then connecting via the coax connection. I recommend using the RCA cables. It will be cheaper and you will have better resolution. 25479794-loys4j5naceh32olcsu5fuaa-5-0.jpg

I don't have any sound on my nintendo wii but the volume on my tv is fine otherwise, what is the solution in fixing the problem

Check to see if the audio cord is not connected, incorrectly connected or damaged. Check the power cord to see if it's healthy. If it's not any of these then I would carefully open up the console and see if there's anything that looks wrong, capacitors popped or resistors cracked. The audio board might need to be replaced.
