you need to check the router for the Wi Fi or experiment
it will be WEP WPA or WPA2 but you need also to know the encryption key again log into the router to find out.
If you've changed your Wii's output setting to 480p but are still using the regular red/white/yellow cable, that could be the problem. 480p output is only possible using the component (red/white/red/blue/green) cable.
it could be your wii,but if you were to clean a disk use tooth paste and gently rub it on the disk up and down. never clean a disk in a circular motion. or go to a game store and ask if they can clean the disk. or buy scratch out. can be found at a block buster. hope this helped. :)
If the problem exists with all disks, your problem is with the disk drive itself. Wii disk drive cleaning kits retail less than US 8$ and are your best solution in this case. They include a custom sized microfiber tool used to clean the laser reading lens inside your Wii disk drive. If you have trouble with just one disk, the disk you are using may be dirty, scratched, or defective. Try cleaning your disk with water and a soft cloth (Do not use a paper towel, it will just leave paper pieces on the disk.) If the cleaning does not help, look for scratches on the top AND bottom of the disk. The slightest scratch on the disk can cause a read error. If you have a scratch you can try a disk buffer. Some video and game rental stores offer a disk buffing service for a small fee, if buffing and cleaning do not work, your disk is most likely defective. Return the game to the store you purchased it from and ask for a replacement if possible.
"Unable to Read the Disc" Error, or Disc Not Recognized (Will Not Play Game Discs)
Situation:
The Wii console will not play game discs (disc is not recognized)
System displays either error message "Unable to read disc" or "Disc could not be read"
Important!
If this problem happens very infrequently, it is normal and does not indicate a problem. A Wii Lens Cleaning Kit can be purchased to help keep the lens clean and prevent the situation from worsening over time.
Wii Game Discs are region locked, and can only be played on hardware from the same country where the game was released. (A European game cannot be played on a North American system, for example.)
What To Do:
The Wii console is only compatible with Wii and GameCube discs. It is not compatible with DVDs or discs made for other home consoles. Verify that the disc you are inserting is compatible with the Wii system.
An error message may display if the disc is ejected during play. Return to the HOME Menu before changing discs.
Verify that the console is placed correctly.
If the Wii console is lying flat, the game disc slot should be above all three buttons and the SD Card slot.
If the Wii console is standing vertically, the power button should be on the top and the console should be in the stand. Note: Only Wii consoles with model number RVL-001 are intended to be placed vertically. (Learn more)
Verify that the disc is being inserted properly.
If the console is placed horizontally, the disc label will face upwards.
If the console is placed vertically, the disc label will face to the right.
Check the non-printed side of the game disc for dirt or severe damage (such as scratches or cracks).
If the disc is dirty, try cleaning the game disc. (How to)
If the disc is damaged or scratched, it will need to be replaced. Please click here for replacement options.
If the problem occurs with only one game disc, there may be a problem specific to that game. Click here to check our list of specific game issues.
Make sure only licensed accessories are being used. Unlicensed products do not undergo Nintendo's testing and evaluation process. They may not work at all with our game systems, and they may have compatibility problems with certain games or accessories.

Your LCD TV should have one of the following types of inputs:
Composite. This is usually a yellow jack, along with red and white jacks for audio. If your TV has these, which it should, then the cable that comes with the Wii will plug directly into these jacks. Plug the yellow to the yellow jack, the red to the red jack, and the white to the white jack.
S-Video. This is a flat black jack. There are four little holes, and one "flat" rectagular hole. There should also be a red and white jack that go along with this for audio. In order to connect to this input, you will need to purchase an S-Video output cable for the Wii. Most stores that sell Wiis will sell a third-party cable for this. This connection will give you a significantly better picture than Composite. S-Video does not carry audio, so you still need to plug the red plug into the red jack and the white plug into the white jack or you'll get only video and no audio!
Component video. This is a triplet of Red, Green and Blue jacks. There is usually a set of red and white jacks along with them for audio again. This connection will give you the best picture, and you can set your Wii to EDTV (Progressive) mode. To connect to this input, you will need to get the Wii Component Video cable. Most stores that sell Wiis will either sell the official Nintendo one, or a third-party cable. Connect the red plug to the red jack, the green plug to the green jack, and the blue plug to the blue jack. Also connect the red audio plug to the red audio jack and the white audio plug to the white audio jack. Be careful not to get the red audio plug confused with the red video plug! If you see a picture, but the colors are wrong, then you either swapped the red and blue, or you connected the red audio plug instead of the red video plug.
Made a video showing how I fixed this problem on my Wii. I show how to troubleshoot, take it apart, clean the laser and replace the DVD ROM if needed. Cleaning the laser didn't fix my problem but most of the time it will.
If Wii gives Disc Read Error, first step you need to check is to try another
disc or clean the exisitng disc. This will confirm that problem is with either
Wii or Disc. If the console itself is giving disc read error then it needs to be
repaired. You may check out DIY Wii Fix Guide, that
will show step by step information to fix the problem yourself. It also gives
information on fixing many Wii Related Problems, so its a kind of Wii Problems

I managed to eject a WII disc out manually very easily: - Disconnect the drive - You see the white plastic mechanism on your right side and the wheel connected to the motor - turn the wheel towards the back side of the drive while pushing the half inch square plastic piece towards the left. You will see the disc coming out while you are turning the wheel.
