Pls. ipod a1136 gb30, how

Hi, I can't say exactly how many videos and songs you can get on that ipod because it varies on the quality of both. To get videos on the ipod you'll need to have them in a compatible format for the ipod, which is mp4. You can either download movie files as mp4's or you can covert movie files you already have with a program. Personally I recommend HandBrake. If you need anymore help just let me know =)

The Batteries in these units like all rechargeable batteries only have a certain number of times they can be charged and discharged before begining to fail. Your only option is to replace the battery with a new one. They are cheap to purchase off eBay and YouTube has Videos detailing how to change them.

What has happened is the LCD screen on the iPod broke in those places. Its just like breaking a computer screen it doesn't break all of it just parts of it. Here is how to fix it but it will cost a few bucks.
This is the screen for the iPod Video http://cgi.ebay.com/Replacement-LCD-Screen-iPod-Video-5G-30GB-60GB-80GB-/370500258424?pt=Other_MP3_Player_Accessories&hash=item5643894a78#ht_2329wt_1139

My black 30 gig ipod

Hey!

I'd recommend you restoring your device by following this (note that you data/music will get erased! If possible, backup your device using iTunes. Anyway, if you still have your music on your computer, you can aways sync it back to the iPod!):

1. Download the latest firmware for your iPod here...
2. Put it in DFU mode
3. Open iTunes, click Restore, while pressing SHIFT (on Windows) or Alt/Option (on Mac).
4. Point to the file you've downloaded.

If you are satisfied, rate my solution with the "thumbs" or (even better) add a testimonial.

Best regards,
Pelu.

How do i upload songs

How to Upload Songs to an iPod: (You can also find the instructions here.)

1)Download the latest version of iTunes. It is free and you can obtain it from the Apple website. It could have come with your iPod on an installation CD. Makes sure your computer meets the requirements. You can find older versions on the web, but they have limitations.
2)Scan your computer for songs to add to the library.
3)Connect your iPod to your computer with the USB cable that came with your iPod. The iPod screen should say "Do not disconnect".
4)Open iTunes. Your iPod should appear under Devices in the bar to the left.
5)Follow the instructions for naming your iPod and changing the initial settings if the iPod has not been plugged into a computer before.
6)Buy music from the iTunes music store or import songs off a CD using iTunes.
7)Decide whether you want to sync your iPod with your iTunes library or manually put songs on your iPod.
(Syncing your iPod will automatically add all of the songs in your library to your iPod. It will also delete any songs from your iPod that are not in your library. Click on your iPod icon and select Sync in the lower right corner.)
8)If you do not want all the songs in your library on your iPod, make a playlist of all the songs you do want, or decide which playlists you want to include on your iPod.
9)Click on your iPod icon.
10)On the top bar, click on the button which says "Music".
11)Make sure the box that says "Sync Music" is checked, then check the box for whether you want your iPod to sync with the entire library or selected playlists. If you click selected playlists, select the playlists you want in the playlists category. For newer iPods you can check which artists are included on your iPod to automatically import all the songs from each selected artist onto your iPod.
12)Properly disconnect your iPod using the eject button (see Warnings).
13)Listen to your new songs!

TIPS:
Set up the iPod on the computer you plan to use it on. An iPod set up with a Macintosh will need to have all the songs deleted in order to use it on a Windows operating system. This only needs to be done once if you switch computers, but just to make less hassle, try to use the iPod on only one computer.

WARNINGS:
Make sure you disconnect the iPod properly to avoid problems or loss of files on your iPod. Click the eject button next to the iPod icon in iTunes, or in the lower, right-hand corner. If you quit iTunes, drag the iPod icon on your desktop to the trash to eject (Mac). Right click on the iPod icon on your desktop on a Windows PC.

Things You'll Need:
- USB connector cable
- iTunes
- iPod
- Computer
- Music files or CD's

Hope this information helps!

Forgot password my ipod 80

Hi,

Welcome to Fixya. If you need to unlock your iPod Touch just follow the simple steps below.

Connect your iPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one iPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.

If you can't unlock iPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. You can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater.

Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod.

If you want to change the primary computer that your iPod is associated with, do this:

1. Restore your iPod. Warning: The restore process cannot be undone. All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data.

2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer.

3. Open iTunes and synchronize.

If you have questions please let me know. Thanks for using Fixya.

IPod 120 GB will not

Mine did that before the hard drive completely failed.

I strongly suggest taking it to an Apple Store.
They can perform diagnostics on the drive to check its condition.

Sorry to hear about this problem.

Ipod 30GB unlocking free code

In order to get rid of the forgotten code and disabled message, we must restore the device.

In this case when the iphone or itouch or similar is giving you a message that its disabled, then we have to first force the device into recovery mode, from which we can do a normal restore.

Note that this removes all the content from your player.

Basically the steps are

1. Take out the usb cable, connect it to the computer, but not to the device.

2. Turn off your device

3. While pressing and holding the home button, reconnect the usb cable to the device, when you reconnect the usb cable the phone or itouch should power on.

If you are low on battery let it charge for a while, then start from the beginning (unplug the usb from the device)

4. While still holding the home button, until you see a message about "Connect to Itunes" then let go.

5. if not already open, open itunes, you should receive a short warning about recovery mode.

6. do a normal restore from itunes, it wipes the devices and the disabled message and the forgotten code are removed.

My ipod won't charge, it

I've gone through this same problem and searched for days to get a solution. I'm not sure why exactly it does this but you just need to manually reset your Ipod. You do this by simply turning the lock button at the top of the device on then off then on then off. After that just hold the center button and the menu button down simultaneously until the screen turns on. This will reset your device but you shouldn't lose any of your files. I hope this helps!

Aways says do not disconnect

Try This...
Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
Press and hold the Menu and Select(center button) buttons until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
Tip: If you are having difficulty resetting your iPod, set it on a flat surface. Make sure the finger pressing the Select button (center button) is not touching any part of the click wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Menu button toward the outside of the click wheel, and not near the center.
