Hello,

The reason your phone goes blank at intervals is because there is a problem with the phone.

First, flash the phone with the appropriate software and cable, then you open up the phone with the appropriate screwdrivers and check if the screen connector also known as the flex is properly seated on the main board. Also check if the flex is damaged so you will be able to replace the flex with a new one.

Having done this, your phone will be in good condition once again.

you can access it by going to settings then system tab then look for clock. or its faster if you have windows mobile center on your computer. connect your htc to computer and sync it using windows mobile center and its going to apply the date and seetings of your computer to the phone.

Turn off your phone, then press both soft keys next to D-Pad. (these are the buttons above the number 1 and 3 on your key pad) and power on device. After moment a black screen will appear and offer to restore basic settings. release both soft keys. NOTE you will clear the phone completely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
press "green phone" button and wait couple minutes for phone to initialize. good luck

the HTC S710 does not support 3G. You get quad-band GSM with GPRS and EDGE, which should keep you connected (albeit at moderate speeds) both at home and abroad.

however HTC is releasing the s730, which is a 3G phone and is basically the next model up from the s710; however, although it is the same form factor, there are some visual differences. Take a look:at theses links

If your PC has Windows XP, you should have ActiveSync installed and running, in order to have a WM smartphone synchronized. Otherwise, if it has Vista or 7, WMDC should be used instead.
If you already happen to have the correct sync program on your PC, and yet, are unable to sync your device, firstly, reboot both your PC and device. If you keep unable to sync, try to remove the partnership between your PC and your device on both of them, and try to connect your device again. If the failure persists, try to uninstall and reinstall ActiveSync (or WMDC), reboot your PC and try again.

I have the same problem .... but my solution was to take the battery off and apply some presure on the are where that B (from Bluetooth) and that bin .... this solves the problem .... but just for a few minutes or days ..... depending on how much presure you apply.But be careful ..... too much presure and you will get in my situation .... crack the LCD :((
