I can not enter the system as I can align screen

May God help you because in my experience with a malfunctioning A626 ASUS won't lift a finger to help you. They are great at lip service like a lot of companies nowadays but short on customer service.

Did you get the Microsoft Mobile Device Center yet? I cannot get the Clarification Request radio button to function on this Web site so I'm asking about the Mobile Device Center because I have a few questions and suggestions which I can offer if you are still around.

There is no date on the posts in this FixYa place so maybe its a dead end.

On the right side of your ASUS A626 there is a switch that says "HOLD". Make sure that isn't flipped on.

Power supply problems are relatively common with ASUS products like this one it should be covered under warranty and be easily replaceable if not simply order one online.

(it is rare for the device itself to have charging issues, unless it was dropped in which case that could be a possible explanation)

If it doesnt turn on...possibly you dont have the battery cover on? Make sure there is a tiny tab that sticks out on the cover itself is still on the battery cover. It can easily snap off if you drop the pda. If its not on there...on the PDA itself there is a little hole that has a white button. Stuff that hole with a little toilet paper...and waalaaa!!

I would like to introduce Windows Password Recovery 6.0 . it not only supports XP, 2000, and NT, I have personally tested it with Vista Home Premium and Ultimate. You would need to perform a full reset / clean reset.

To perform a clean reset, press the launch button(on the front the center button, the round one) and simultaneously pressing the stylus on the reset switch. Then a warning message appears. Follow on screen instructions to complete the reset.

Do it the easy way.
In the ASUS turn off dhcp server.
Change its ip to the same range but different ip to the netcomm and outside the dhcp range. ie. if the netcomm is 192.168.1.1 and hands out addresses from 2-100 make the Asus 192.168.1.254 which is the top address. (I have no idea what netcomm you have so you will have to figure this out. ) If you want more detail tell us exactly what IP addresses the modem and the Asus are using.

Last step. Plug the modem into a LAN port of the ASUS, not wan. It will then work fine as wireless access point.

Go to a command prompt (CMD) by navigatinf to START->RUN and typing CMD In the command prompt, type Type c:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Driver\8\Intel 32\IDriver.exe -Embedding Then run your setup.exe or install.exe of the prog you are trying to install...

If this doesnt run, think there must virus infection in all your system...

Does any other setup files runs in your system?

I am having the same problem and according to the computer experts at Staples in Montana they say that there is an upgrade in Windows that we need to download to the A626. However, I have searched Windows and not found anything so, I am off to Staples to have them fix it for $10. Best of luck everyone.

there are 2 things;

either you are installing a program that is not for your device or,

the program that you are trying to install has errors.

make sure that the program is not corrupted or is the right one for your device.

Hi, I helped a friend of mine with his wifi setup. His WEP Key was on the side of his router. I don't remember the exact work but it was something Key. It was 10 numbers long just right for a 64 bit key. If you are using Win XP there is a wifi setup in there. I have a mypal A626 and had it up and running in a few minutes on my wifi system. If you have security, you will need to find the code in order to get a connection. grader01
