DMR-EH65 FAT32

You probably need to check the partition map format as well as the actual volume format. One of the Options in Disk Utility lets you specify the partition map. Options include GPT, MBR and the classic Apple Partition Map.The drive will need to be formatted as MBR in order to act like a 'true' PC disk. A FAT partition on a GPT disk isn't sufficient - it's still a GPT disk and that's what is confusing the player.Custom Wheels For Honda

I have still not got

Good day!!

May I ask if your dvd is a region free? Please let me know. But for the mean time here is my solution to your problem.
  • The problem could be on DVD lens. Open the back cover of your dvd.
  • look for middle part of it you will see the lens.
  • clean that part with a cleaning material (cotton buds & a small amount of alcohol).
  • then try to insert a disc again to test.
  • If the DVD lens is defective you better to buy a new player because the lens is expensive and it is not easy to install on DVD.
Thank you!!!And hope to help you with all the best that I can...just consult or message me for any clarification or query..

When I try to copy

Hello there,
when the panasonic dmr-eh65 dvd recorder/hdd recorder comes up with such message like insert a valid disc. It simply means the disc is not compatible with the player and cannot be copied onto.
Try to get the best appropriate empty dvd-r to copy on. Check for the proper specification of empty disc that the dmr can copy on.
Hope this information was helpful to you. All the best. Elect_Comp

Bonjour , J'Ai des Nations Unies

Check that C1801 is not leaky. If so, check if IC1801 has blown. If it has blown, it will also need to be replaced.

Usually it's only C1801 leaky, replace it and thats it.

You can find the capacitor on the main board, under the digital board that has ribbon cables going to the dvd drive.

Hope this helps.

A blank DVD-DL is stuck

If you are having a small hole beneath the disc cabin, insert a pin through that hole. Press the eject button and push the pin inside. The drive will eject in a matter of seconds. If there is no such holes, press the eject button and tap hard on the upside of the player. Do it twice or thrice with pressing the eject button in between. Check if this works.

Since it went into "disk recovery mode" it now will not play dvds

Got the same problem. Happened 2 months after guarantee expired. **** machine. The only good thing is the harddrive and that is made by HITACHI not Panasonic! I go Sony next time. Panasonic quoted £200 plus to fix the problem. I only paid £220 when I bought it new.
