Canon ip90 waste ink absorber
Not all the ink that leaves the ink-cartridge gets jetted onto the paper; some of it is "wasted", and goes into the "absorber".
So, the software inside the Canon printer has mathematically predicted, given the number of pages you have printed, and the number of times that you've turned the printer off, that, statistically-speaking, the "waste ink absorber" is almost full.
Take the printer to a qualified printer technician, for replacement of the absorber, and to "reset" the electronics to "zero pages printed".

It's time to replace 3's WASTE INK ABSORBER KIT & reset waste ink counter.
You have to send it to your nearest service centre.
The WASTE INK ABSORBER KIT is approx. USD10/pcs
My canon iP90v won't print,
This error code is a problem related to the print heads, possibly try to clean them but replacement heads are not worth the cost, you can buy a new printer for less, also check to make sure that the waste ink Tank is not full as this will destroy the printer as well
I can not print on my canon iP90v. I try to
You could either kick it or try this (less expensive) trick:
- Click "start" and go to "Run"
- Type "services.msc" at the prompt which will open the Services
window (ooh, pretty...)
- Scroll down the alphabetical list in the right window pane until you come
to the entry with the name "Print Spooler"
- Right-click this entry, then select "stop". This will stop the computer
running the process that holds your print queues.
- Leaving that window open for now, click again on "Start", and then click
"My Computer" to open a Windows Explorer window.
- We've stopped the queue service, now we just have to clear the jam that is
already there. To do this we navigate to the print spool folder which is hiding
within the Windows folders. Usually Windows is installed on C: drive, but you
should be easily able to tell when the Explorer window opens which drive it is
on.
The usual path to the spool folder is
C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS, but yours may be slightly
different. Your windows drive may have another name for instance, but this would
be uncommon. So click on your Windows drive (usually C), then double-click on
the Windows folder, and then find the System32 folder and double-click on
that. Windows may warn you that you are about to view system files, but click
"View files anyway" message and search out the "spool folder". Within the
Spool folder is your Printers folder, and you should open
that.
- Delete every file within this folder to empty the jammed print queue
(pressing the "ctrl" and "a" keys will select all files and then you can just
hit "delete").
- Close the explorer window now that we have emptied the cleared spool files,
and return to your Services window. we must re-start the Print spool
service, and do so by right-clicking the Print Spool entry and selecting
"Start" from the list. Close the services window and try printing again
Canon IP90 printer head removal
Hi,
Power up your printer and open the cover to the print compartment. I removed the ink cartridges. The print head should have come with instructions for replacing the head. If you don't have these instructions, go to the Canon Start Here fold out sheet that came with your printer. It shows a grey locking lever in the front of the carriage for the print head. You should be able to pull up gently on the left side tab and release the top of the carriage and pull the old head out and replace with the new head. A tip I learned from a Canon repair guy: Your new print head is always tested at the factory - and it may have some residual ink in it. Mine did not work the first time. After several cleanings, using new ink cartidges, it worked and has been ever since. If you use your printer infrequently, run a test page through it every few weeks.
How do I install the print head and ink for Canon Pixma iP90?
To install the printhead for Canon Pixma ip90; Open the paper support and paper output slot cover of the printer. Then power the Canon Pixma printer on. Open the print head cover. The print head holder moves to the center. Pinch and lift the print head lock lever at the front of the print head holder. Remove the print head from its package and remove the orange protective cap that covers the bottom of the print head. Insert the print head into the print head holder so that the "^" mark faces the "V" mark. Lower and close the print head lock lever fully until you hear a click. Remove the black ink tank (BCI-15 Black) from its package. Hold the ink tank as shown in the illustration, and remove the orange protective cap, while lifting in the direction of the arrow. Set the Black ink tank at an angle in the back so that the ">" mark on the ink tank faces the "<" mark on the print head lock lever. Press down on the mark on the ink tank until you hear a click. Insert the color ink tank (BCI-16 Color) in the same way. Finally. Close the print head cover. The print head moves to the right.

you need to clean the ink tank...it is usually located at the right most part below the printer cartridges.(cartridge ducking station)
check your user manual on how to disassemble your printer or ask someone to do this for you if you are unfamiliar with printer disaabling.

Canon Pixma MX870 won’t turn on
my suggestion : take your printer to an authorized service center, probably the printer has a defective electronic board, there is nothing you can do to fix it
