RCA DRC8030N Questions & Answers
I NEED POWER SUPPLY BOARD FOR DRC8030N
I am sure that the fault was relative of the bad capacitor and swapping the working board has proved. Hope that solves the issue as all what is needed is to check and replace all the suspected capacitor is the Primary /Secondary side as the SMPS is working BUT with a limited voltage. So the threshold is low and so can be a tank capacitor, change the mains capacitor and also the secondary +B side.

Just says "Hello" at plug-in. Fan runs, no button
the problem is either in front display board or on the main board, first replacing the front board can solve the problem. but if it does not pls replace the main board. these are inside the dvd player.

Trying to record a home made video to hard drive
Its a problem with your BOX. You should go to your account settings and choose the "allow recording" or something like that. I would suggest that you call the company that sold you the box and ask them how exactly to do this as sometimes there are a lot of settings have to be changed.

Won't turn on, just says
This is due to one of the IDE devices inside (Hard Drive or DVD drive) not sending the requires "I am Ready" signal to the main board while the DVR does a power on self test. With the hundreds of units I have come across, 99% of the time it is due to a faulty DVD drive. These "Loader" brand DVD drives were on the cheap and when they give out, the unit does not go past the Hello. You can verify this by replacing the the DVD drive with any other DVD burner or DVD drive or even a CD drive that comes from a computer (IDE connector). The only fix for this is to replace the drive or simply connect an old CD drive inside and not use the DVD properties of the DVR, only the hard disk recording/playback.

2200mf 6.3Volt caps for the RCA DRC8060n DVD
All the capacitors with that value and at least that voltage will due, all you need to check is that it will fit in that space.
For better resilience in the future get ones rated at 10 volts - less than $1 per piece at any hobby shop.

I have the RCA DRC 8030n and it works the but its
It was a simple solution I just started where anyone one should and I check the cables in the back of my tv and the back of the rca unit. The problem was that the blue component cable leading to the tv was not all the way connected, once I plugged it all the way that solved my problem.

VHS -DVD RCA Flashes in blue color
if i understand your statement, you are having an issue copying either VHS to DVD or vice versa, most media today has built in copyright protection to prevent what you are trying to do, there are PC softwares to bypass these, but you will have to hook the player to your PC using a TV Tuner, or an Application called VHS to DVD or something similar,
