Polaroid PDM-0082 Portable DVD Player Questions & Answers
DVD PLAYER KEEPS TELLING ME NO DISC.
Your three yr old has not shut you down. Open the lid of the player and make sure that the lens still slides backward and forward. If this is so, get yourself a clean cotton swab dipped in either methylated spirits or rubbing alcohol, and thoroughly wipe lens in circular motions. Few seconds to dry and you should be ok.

If you switched DVDs and you plugged it into an electrical outlet and it is still happening, you should take it in to have someone look at it.

Bad Disk
If you find that the DVD is not spinning it might means that the the "spinner" is not functioning, the sound you hear is the laser moving up and down trying to read your DVD but since is not spinning it can not read it. You will need to replace the small motor that operates the spinner, after extensive use they just give up. I hope this is helpful enough.

Polaroid TV working with constant red flashing light
If your Polaroid Roku TV is working fine but the red light is continuously flashing, it could indicate an issue that may need attention. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
- Power Cycle:
- Turn off the TV and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for at least 5 minutes.
- Plug the TV back in and turn it on.
- Check Remote Control:
- Ensure that there are no stuck buttons on the remote control. Press each button to make sure they are not stuck in the pressed position.
- Update Firmware:
- Check if there is a firmware update available for your TV. You can usually find this information in the TV's settings menu.
- Reset to Factory Settings:
- Perform a factory reset on your TV. This will erase your settings, so be sure to back up any important information first.
- Check for Physical Obstructions:
- Make sure there are no physical obstructions around the TV, particularly around the infrared sensor on the TV and the remote control.
- Contact Customer Support:
- If the issue persists and your TV is still under warranty, consider contacting Polaroid customer support for assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or offer a solution.
- Professional Repair:
- If the TV is no longer under warranty and the issue persists, it might be advisable to consult a professional technician or a TV repair service to diagnose and fix the problem.
Always refer to your TV's user manual for specific instructions related to your model. If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's recommended to seek assistance from the manufacturer or a qualified technician for further diagnosis and repair.
