Unless it starts/boots up, the computer will not detect it. It seems that the battery of the side kick is dead and that is the reason why it does not hold charge. Try booting it while charging. It may boot up. It needs a new battery. Please supply one.

Is there a sign that it powers up, if it powers up and all you see is a blank screen, there is nothing wrong with your screen, the problem is from the flex that connects your screen to the phone's main board. This flex must have worn out that's why your screen is not displaying any picture.

The problem is common with flip and slide phones. The flex gets worn out as a result of constant opening and close of the flip or slide phone.

I would urge you to replace the flex and I am assuring you that your screen will display picture again. You might also be lucky to find out that the flex is not well fix, that is, it may have loosed contact.

If you cannot change the flex yourself, maybe you should take the phone to a local repairer within your vicinity, so that the flex can be fixed/replaced.

I think you've damaged your Sidekick's hardware (and warrant won't cover the damage), sorry.

What network is it locked to? anyways Sidekicks is now unlock-able with IMEI or MEP unlock code,I run a mobile shop and recently unlocked 5 of these sidekicks thismonth. Not to mention once unlocked you can use it ATT or anyother GSM network. ok the connection wire in your phone might be damaged. try sqeezing the area where you phone flips.

you need to take tht phn back. could be defective.

what this means is an indication of power problem from the power supply (that is the battery) this does not mean that the battery is bad if the battery is well change .

it means that the panel of the phone need to be service
what you need to do from here is to remove the battery then case of the phone then unscrew the scroll from phone to the panel clean up all form of dirt around the panel with little liquid spirit or with very soft brush allow it to dry up it self properly then couple it back with care .with this the problem of power problem have been solve .

you can either try and jailbreak the phone or in some other manner perform a master reset, usually like holding the power button for 10-15 seconds while it's on. that or take the rear case off and snip the wires for the ********, but on this model that will require cutting the warranty sticker. or just do what everyone else does and sell it on ebay, lol.

You need to reseat the LCD cable. More than likely it has come loose in the back of the LCD
