A famous firmware bug, you need to update the phone's firmware, to do so, I've provided a Sony Ericsson's link below, please follow the link to download the utility and read the guide.
You must have your USB Data Cable and an active internet connection to do an update.
Once downloaded, install the application, and the wizard will guide you on how and when to connect the phone.
Note: You should backup all the data before update by the SE PC Suite, as after the update the phone will be in "Out of the Box" condition.

The problem with your phone is just flex problem, the flex on the screen of your phone is weak or worn out, this is a common problem among slide or flip phone.

What you need to do is to replace the flex on the screen of your phone, you can get this done by going to any local phone repairer within your vicinity to help get it fix or replace.

Once the flex is replace, your phone display problem is solve and the screen will start displaying.

This is because the wall around the room is blocking the signal,so there is a intreption of the signal.Due to this the phone is not picking up the signal properly.

When you go out you can get good signal.

IBBOU - You can try www.topsony.com or take the phone to a mobile service center and have it unlock.

avinash_love - you will need to take the phone to a mobile store and have them reset the code for you.

fame10,reesesmore - contact you mobile service provider and have them give you the puk for the sim card.

This is due to some virus which is installed or other items.you have to format your mobile phone's memory card,if the problem is still exists you have service your mobile phone in the service center.

PUK means "personal unlocking key" .

The PUK code is asked if you enter a wrong pin 3 times.

You need to call the phone company that released the SIM card, they can retrieve the PUK code from a database for free.

In your case you need to contact your SIM card provider technical support to unlock the SIM.


The PIN and PUK are related to the SIM card, not to the phone.

If you replace the SIM card with a different one, then the phone will not ask for the PUK anymore.

YOUR OLD ONE CAN BE USED ONLY TO ACCESS YOUR CONTACTS, BUT NOT TO MAKE CALLS.YOU CAN HOWEVER PUT THE OLD SIM CARD IN UR NEW PHONE FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF TRANSFERRING UR CONTACTS, THEN REPLACE YOUR NEW SIM CARD INTO UR NEW PHONE

There are sony ericsson unlock codes available through unlocking sites. Depending on which carrier that your SE is locked to, the prices will vary. Give http://www.cellfservices.com a shot.

W830i is java installed phone which means that it has a special code which do not allow other codes(virus) to get installed on it. so you dont need any anti virus for your phone

when u're trying to update u're phone's software it will automatically be repaired.here's what u have to do:
1 - go to WWW.Sony-Ericsson.com
2 - download the update software and install
3 - connect u're phone
4 - do as it says

ya u dont need to change it
get a screen cover breezeing it cost only 150rs
or else get a new body it will cost 300

there is only solution to check with setool or flash it with latest version if the problem remains same then change the LCD cuz its easy to change the lcd then the problem same then go to the flex cable and change i think flex cable is the final solution

W850 is a CID49 phone. There is currently NO WAY to unlock such phones that were locked at the factory for the carrier. SETool has had Limited success in unlocking phones that were locked by themselves, but further testing showed that factory locked phones are not able to be unlocked. Stay tuned, it might take a few more months before this can be done. This applies to ALL CID49 phones as I understand it - W810, K790, K800, w950, etc.

1. Faulty LCD
2. Faulty internal ribbon cable
